This stone features the weeping willow over the vase, said to represent the family and friends who are saddened about the death of their loved one. This is a later style with almost art-deco like vines on the side topped leaves and perhaps a budding flower. "Cheer up my friends, wipe off your tears, I shall come forth when Christ appears."

If you are curious about the legal process of the witchcraft trials in CT, Michael Dalton published the first edition"Countrey Justice" in the New England Colonies in 1618. This was a guide for those colonists held responsible for the law and order of the community. Many of them had no experience in the judicial system.
