Most of us think we see ourselves clearly.
Then somebody reacts to us in a way we did not expect. We get defensive. Frustrated. Hurt. And our first instinct is usually to explain ourselves instead of getting curious.
What if some of those reactions are trying to tell us something?
Sometimes anger points to fear. Sometimes impatience points to pressure.
Sometimes what bothers us most in someone else reveals something unresolved in us.
There is usually more happening beneath the surface than we realize.
Before you respond, pause and pray:
God, what am I not hearing?
That question has changed more conversations than having the perfect answer ever could.
