Bible Reading – Psalm 106

Verses to meditate on – “Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever… Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation.” (Psalm 106:1, 4)

Related Scriptures – Exodus 34:6–7; Nehemiah 9:16–19; Psalm 51:1–12; Psalm 78:35–39; Daniel 9:4–9; 1 John 1:9; Ephesians 2:4–5

Prayer – Merciful Lord, we praise You and give thanks, for You are good and Your mercy endures forever. No words can fully declare Your mighty acts or adequately express all the praise You deserve. Remember us with the favor You show Your people, and visit us with Your salvation. Let us rejoice in the good You give, share in the gladness of Your people, and glory in belonging to You.

Father, we confess that we have sinned as those before us sinned. We have forgotten Your many mercies, failed to wait for Your counsel, and allowed fear, pride, appetite, envy, and unbelief to govern our choices. Forgive us for complaining after receiving Your provision, for turning toward lesser things when You alone are worthy, and for resisting Your voice when You call us to trust and obey.

Keep us from forgetting the God who saves. When we are tempted to wander, remind us of the mighty works You have done. Guard our hearts from idols and our lives from compromise. Give us courage to stand for what is right, humility to repent quickly, and faith to believe Your promises even when circumstances appear impossible.

Thank You that, even when Your people rebelled, You heard their cry, remembered Your covenant, and showed compassion according to the greatness of Your mercy. Hear us now, Lord. Deliver us from the sins that enslave us, gather our divided hearts, restore the joy of Your salvation, and make us steadfast in obedience. May our lives display the power of Your grace rather than the pattern of our former failures.

Blessed be the Lord God from everlasting to everlasting. Let all Your people say, “Amen.” May we praise You with grateful hearts, walk faithfully in Your ways, and tell the next generation that Your mercy truly endures forever.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Reading – Psalm 105

Verses to meditate on – “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people… Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.” (Psalm 105:1, 5)

Other Scriptures – 1 Chronicles 16:8–12; Deuteronomy 7:9; Psalm 77:11–14; Psalm 103:2; Isaiah 46:9–10; Luke 1:72–73; Hebrews 10:23

Prayer – Faithful Lord, we give thanks to You and call upon Your holy name. Fill our hearts with gratitude, and open our mouths to tell others of Your wonderful works. Keep us from forgetting Your goodness when life is easy or doubting Your faithfulness when the way is hard. Help us remember the marvelous things You have done, the promises You have kept, and the mercy You have shown from generation to generation.

Teach us to seek You, Your strength, and Your face continually. When we feel weak, remind us that You are mighty. When we feel uncertain, anchor us in Your covenant faithfulness. As You guarded, guided, and provided for Your people, guide our steps and supply our needs according to Your wisdom. Deliver us from fear, bitterness, and unbelief, and make us patient while we wait for Your purposes to unfold.

Lord, make us faithful witnesses of Your works. Let our lives declare that You are good, Your Word is true, and Your promises never fail. Give us courage to speak of Your salvation and humility to give You all the glory. May our remembrance lead to worship, our worship lead to obedience, and our obedience bless those around us.
Thank You for remembering Your covenant and for fulfilling Your saving purpose in Jesus Christ. Keep us near You, joyful in Your presence, and faithful to Your commands. May we praise You today and teach the next generation to trust in Your unfailing love.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Reading – Psalm 104

Verses to meditate on – O Lord, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom has thou made them all:… The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: The Lord shall rejoice in his works… I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. “ Psalm 104:24, 31, 33

Other Scriptures – Psalm 8:3; 40:5; 107:31; Proverbs 3:19, 20; Psalm. 24:1; 50:10–12

Prayer – Oh Lord, how many are your works. They are without number. We were not here when you hung the stars in space and created the tiniest sea creatures in the depths of the ocean where no man has ever gone. We were not here, when you created the multitude of plants and animals that populate this planet. We were not here when you formed the mountains. We were not here, when you set the course for the mighty rivers that flow. We were not here when you created the first delicate snowflakes that silently drifted to the ground. From snowcapped mountains, to desert sands, to lush rainforests, and fertile plains, You alone created them all. Truly the earth is filled with riches, and they are yours alone.

Man passes from this life, and his body returns to the dust from which it came. But You Lord will endure forever. There is none like you in all of heaven and earth. That is why “I will sing unto you Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” Oh Lord, how sweet it is to meditate upon your power and glory. When I behold the works of your hand I stand in awe. Dear Lord, I stand in awe of you.

Bible Reading – Psalm 103 The Benefits of Being a Child of God

Verses to meditate on – “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:” (Psalm 103:2)

Other Scriptures – Psalm 105:5; Psalm 116:12; Deuteronomy 8:2-4, 10-14; Isaiah 63:7; Luke 17:15-18; Ephesians 2:11-13

Prayer – Oh Lord, what can I give to you for all the blessings You have given to me? I bless Your name. Today, with all that is within me, I bless Your holy name. Lord, quicken my spirit so that I never forget all of the blessings that come with being Your child.

I could never tell of all You have done. You have forgiven me of all of my iniquities. You are the healer of my sick body. When my life was given to destruction, addiction, sin, and all of its terrible consequences, You redeemed me by Your precious blood. You have encircled my life with Your lovingkindness and tender mercies. You have satisfied my soul, and as I wait upon You each day, You give me strength to live my life for You.

I praise You, because You are righteousness. You see all of the injustice in this world, but I know You will right every wrong one day. Through Jesus Christ, You free the oppressed and comfort those who have been wounded and bruised.

Oh Lord, You are “merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.” I needed that mercy, and You so freely gave it to me through Your Son. You did not deal with me according to my sin, but according to Your lovingkindness, grace, and mercy.

I praise You, “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is Your mercy toward them that fear You.” And as far as the east is from the west, so far hath You removed my transgressions from me.” This is too great for me to fathom. MY SOUL CRIES OUT, “BLESS THE LORD! BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD!”

Oh, Heavenly Father, You are kind and compassionate toward Your children. You know “our frame,” our weaknesses and faults. Truly, our life is brief, but Your mercy extends through our lives and even into the lives of our children and grandchildren. You are from everlasting to everlasting. Your throne is in the heavens, and You rule over all.

Let my praise join that of the angels. Let me join all the hosts of heaven and earth and offer my adoration and praise to Your mighty name.

In Jesus’ name I come. Amen

Bible Reading – Psalm 102 A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed.

Verses to meditate on – For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; (Psalm 102:19-20)

Other Scriptures – 1 Kings 8:38-40; Psalm 146:7; Isaiah 61:1-3; Psalm 61:2: Psalm 142:2-3; Mark 14:33-34; Luke 22:44; Hebrews 5:7

Prayer – Dear Jesus, I thank you that you do not hide your face from us. You came to us when we were not even looking for you, and You gave Yourself not just for our sins, but for our sorrows too. You suffered sorrow and grief so that You could become our faithful high priest to make intercession for us in our time of trouble. Truly, how great is your love for us.

In times when we are overwhelmed, strengthen our faith to trust that what we cannot handle, You have complete control over. Oh Lord, give us faith to run to You, to hide under the shadow of Your wings during the storms of life. Give us faith and patience to believe while we wait for our deliverance to come.

Lord, we ask for comfort, heal our wounded, broken spirit, our sick body, our troubled mind. Give us the peace that passes understanding as we keep our mind fixed upon You.

Lord, we forgive and pray for those who have hurt us. We pray for our enemies, for their salvation. We pray that You would heal relationships and bring unity and peace where the enemy has caused division and strife.
Lord, You are faithful, and we give You praise and honor. We thank you for Your blessings. Help us remember Your past goodness during our present suffering. In every season of life, let us hold fast to the knowledge that Your goodness and love never change, and You never fail.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Bible Reading – Psalm 101

Verses to meditate on – I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. (Psalm 101:3)

Other Scriptures – Psalm 18:20-23; Psalm 119:37; Psalm 119:113; Isaiah 33:15-17: James 1:13-15; Romans 12:9; Deuteronomy 13:17

Prayer – Lord, in a world where my eyes can look upon whatever my heart desires let me “set no wicked thing before mine eyes.” Oh Lord, let my desire be to gaze only upon that which is good and well pleasing in Your sight.

Give me a watchful heart and the resolve to turn away from every appearance of evil. Keep me from making room for what displeases You, even when it seems harmless, familiar, or accepted by those around me. Let nothing take root in my life that would draw my affection away from You.

Teach me to hate what is evil and cling to what is good. Let my rejection of sin never become contempt for people; give me a heart that is firm in truth and generous in compassion. Change not only what I choose to look upon, but also what I love, so that obedience flows from a sincere desire to please You.

Turn my eyes from the vain things of this world and awaken in me a longing for what is right, pure, and holy. Above all, Lord, let me seek You. May the beauty of Your holiness become more precious to me than anything that competes for my attention. Fill my thoughts with Your truth and my heart with delight in Your presence.

When temptation is brought before me, give me grace to turn away without lingering. Keep me from delighting in wickedness, pursuing it, or allowing it a place in my thoughts. Remind me that what captures my eyes can gain entrance to my heart and shape the work of my hands. Guard me against even the smallest compromise, and make me faithful in the quiet choices no one else sees. Let my eyes, my desires, and my actions belong wholly to You.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Reading – Psalm 100 - A Reason to Rejoice

Verses to meditate on – “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” (Psa 100:3)

Other Scriptures – Psalm 95:1–7; Psalm 23:1–6; Psalm 98:4–6; Isaiah 43:7; John 10:11, 27–29; Ephesians 2:10; Philippians 4:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18; Hebrews 13:15; James 1:17

Prayer – Lord, awaken joyful praise within us and let our voices join the glad song of all the earth. Lift our hearts above discouragement, silence our complaints, and make our lives a testimony to Your greatness. Wherever You lead us, may we gladly proclaim that You alone are worthy of honor, glory, and praise.

Teach us to serve You with gladness rather than reluctance, and to see every act of obedience as a privilege offered to the King of kings. Draw us into Your presence with singing, gratitude, and holy delight. May worship rise from our hearts not only in gathered praise, but also in our daily work, our conversations, and our service to others.

Help us to know deeply and confidently that You are God. You made us; we did not make ourselves, and we do not belong to ourselves. We are Your people and the sheep of Your pasture. Shepherd us with wisdom, provide for every need, correct us when we wander, protect us from danger, and keep us close to Your loving care.

Lead us through Your gates with thanksgiving and into Your courts with praise. Open our eyes to recognize Your daily mercies, and keep us from taking Your blessings for granted. Fill our mouths with gratitude, our hearts with worship, and our lives with a continual desire to bless Your holy name in every circumstance.

Thank You, Lord, for You are good. Your mercy never ends, and Your truth remains firm through every generation. When circumstances change, remind us that Your character does not change. Help us trust Your goodness, rest in Your mercy, walk in Your truth, and faithfully pass the testimony of Your love to those who come after us.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Reading – Colossians 4

Verses to meditate on – “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;” (Colossians 4:2)

Other Scriptures – Psalm 5:3; Psalm 100:4; Luke 18:1; Romans 12:12; Ephesians 6:18; Philippians 4:6–7; 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18; 1 Peter 5:8–9

Prayer – Faithful Father, teach us to continue steadfastly in prayer, awake to Your presence and watchful for Your hand at work. When answers seem delayed, keep us from growing weary; when blessings arrive, make us quick to give thanks. Let gratitude stand guard at the door of our hearts, turning our eyes from what is lacking to the abundance of Your grace.

Open doors for the gospel, Lord—doors no fear can close and no opposition can bar. Give us courage to speak of the mystery of Christ, wisdom to recognize each holy opportunity, and clarity to make Your truth known with humility and love. Redeem our time, so that our days are not scattered like leaves before the wind but gathered into faithful service for Your kingdom.

Teach us to walk wisely toward those around us. Season our words with grace, so that truth is never sharpened by pride nor kindness emptied of conviction. Give us listening hearts and fitting answers—words that bring light to confusion, hope to the weary, comfort to the wounded, and honor to the name of Jesus.

Thank You for the faithful companions You place beside us—for those who carry news, share burdens, labor in prayer, offer comfort, and stand firm in love. Make us such companions to one another. Knit Your church together in faithfulness, encouragement, and holy affection. Remember those who suffer for the gospel; strengthen every servant, complete every work You have entrusted, and let no one grow faint in doing good.

May our prayers rise continually, our lives open doors for Christ, and our speech carry the fragrance of His grace. Let Your grace be with us, sustaining us in every place and making us faithful to the end.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Reading – Colossians 3 – Up!!! Always Looking Up!!!

Verses to meditate on – Verses 1-3. Looking up directly affects how we live life down here.

Other Scriptures – Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 2:4-6; Luke 16:19-25

Prayer – Heavenly Father, lift our eyes above the passing shadows of this world and fix our hearts on Christ, who is seated at Your right hand. Since we have been raised with Him, teach us to seek the things above and to remember that our true life is hidden with Christ in You. Let the hope of heaven shape every step we take on earth.

By the power of Your Spirit, help us put away all that belongs to the old life: anger, malice, impurity, greed, falsehood, and every word that wounds. Strip from us the garments of our former ways, and clothe us instead with tender mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Above all, wrap us in love, the perfect bond that gathers every virtue into beautiful harmony.

Teach us to bear with one another and to forgive as freely as Christ has forgiven us. Let the peace of Christ rule within our hearts and among Your people. Make our homes, our church, and every place we enter bright with grace, so that our words bring healing, our hands are ready to serve, and our lives reflect the compassion of Jesus.

Let Your Word dwell richly in us—not as a distant sound, but as a living song within the soul. Teach us through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to sing with grace and gratitude in our hearts. May the melody of Your truth rise above our fears, steady us in every trial, and turn even ordinary moments into worship.

Whatever we do in word or deed, may it be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, with thanksgiving to You. Keep our minds turned heavenward, our character clothed in Christ, and our lives fragrant with His love until the day He appears and we appear with Him in glory.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Root us deep in the living soil of Your love; build us upon Your truth as upon an unshakable rock; establish us in a faith that neither wind nor storm can move. Guard us from hollow philosophies, glittering deceptions, and the fading traditions of men—from every voice that would turn our eyes from the beauty and sufficiency found in You. For in You all the fullness of God dwells, and in You our restless souls find all they need for life and godliness.

How beautiful You are, Lord—radiant in holiness, mighty in power, exalted above every name, and wonderful beyond all telling. Your love is a sea without shore, Your mercy a morning that never grows dim. You alone are worthy of every song, every honor, and every breath of praise.

In You we are made complete. By Your power we have risen into newness of life; our sins are washed away, our chains lie broken, and Your triumph has become our victory. Keep us steadfast beneath the banner of Your grace. Let every step bear witness to Your goodness, every word echo Your truth, and every life shine with Your glory.
