LET US WORSHIP TOGETHER!
*Call to Worship
L: The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it.
P: We gather to worship the Creator of heaven and earth.
L: God formed the land, the sea, and the sky, and called creation good.
P: We come to give thanks and to renew our call to care for all that God has made.
*Opening Hymn #20 All Things Bright and Beautiful
All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.
1 Each little flower that opens, each little bird that sings, God made their glowing colors; God made their tiny wings. All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.
2 The purple headed mountain, the river running by, the sunset, and the morning that brightens up the sky: All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.
3 The cold wind in the winter, the pleasant summer sun, the ripe fruits in the garden, God made them everyone one. All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.
*Call to Confession
L: Let us confess our sin before God and one another.
*Prayer of Confession
P: God of all creation, we confess that we have failed to be faithful stewards. We have taken more than we need, wasted what you have entrusted to us, and neglected the care of the earth and its creatures.
We have pursued convenience over responsibility, and short-term gain over long-term care. Forgive us, we pray. Restore our relationship with you, with one another, and with your creation. Teach us to walk gently upon this earth. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
L: Creator God, You spoke the world into being and entrusted it to our care. You have given us air to breathe, water to drink, and land to sustain us. Yet we confess we have not always honored your creation. Renew in us a right spirit—that we may be faithful stewards, living in gratitude, humility, and care. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
*Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
Scripture Reading Genesis 1:26-31 & 2:15

Message “Entrusted, Not Entitled: Living as Stewards of God’s Creation”
Hymn #14 For the Beauty of the Earth
1 For the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies, for the love which from our birth over and around us lies: Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
2 For the wonder of each hour of the day and of the night, hill and vale, and tree and flower, sun and moon, and stars of light: Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
3 For the joy of ear and eye, for the heart and mind’s delight, for the mystic harmony linking sense to sound and sight: Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
4 For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent, child, friends on earth, and friends above, for all gentle thoughts and mild: Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
Tithes and Offering
*Doxology
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him all creatures here below; Praise
Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! Amen.
*Prayer of Dedication
P: Generous God, receive these offerings and our lives. Use them to restore, renew, and sustain your creation. May all we do reflect your love and care for the world you have made. Amen.
Prayers of the People
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our sins, as we
forgive those who have sinned against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from
evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Closing Hymn #716 God, Whose Giving Knows No Ending
1 God, whose giving knows no ending, from your rich and endless store, nature’s wonder, Jesus’ wisdom, costly cross, grave’s shattered door: gifted by you, we turn to you, offering up ourselves in praise; thankful song shall rise forever, gracious donor of our days.
2 Skills and time are ours for pressing toward the goals of Christ, your Son: all at peace in health and freedom, races joined, the church made one. Now direct our daily labor, lest we strive for self alone. Born with talents, make us servants fit to answer at your throne.
3 Treasure, too, you have entrusted, gain through powers your grace conferred: ours to use for home and kindred, and to spread the gospel word. Open wide our hands in sharing, as we heed Christ’s ageless call, healing, teaching, and reclaiming, serving you by loving all.
*Benediction
Go into the world as stewards of God’s creation. Care for the earth as a sacred trust. Live simply, love generously, and act justly. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Creator, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you as you serve and safeguard all creation. Amen.
*Benediction Response Let There Be Peace on Earth
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. Let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant to be. With God as our Father, brothers all are we. Let me walk with my brother in perfect harmony. Let peace begin with me, let this be the moment now. With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow: To take each moment and live each moment in peace eternally! Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.
