The early bird registration for summer camp ends this Sunday, May 31st. The early bird registration is $600 per camper, the full price starting Monday, June 1st is $650 per camper.

Early Bird Registration through May 31st- this will be automatically applied to those who register before that date.

Multi-Camper discount- If you are signing up 2 or more children from the same family, there are also a couple of discounts. Please reach out to myself, Fr. Thomas at [email protected] if this applies to you.

Scholarships for Camp: Deadline for scholarships is May 15th! Please be aware that there are scholarships available for those in need. Please reach out to your local parish priest or myself (Fr. Thomas, [email protected]) to discuss as needed. Finances should not prevent a child from attending camp.

The Spring Lenten retreat for Camp Good Shepherd, March 6-8!

We had children and staff come from all over Virginia for a wonderful weekend of faith and fellowship. The theme of the retreat: Coming Home “Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.” (Joel 2:13) We discussed forgiveness, confession and prayer in the lenten journey.

Camp Good Shepherd Lenten Retreat 2026!
When: March 6-8, 2026

The CGS Lenten Retreat is a weekend event for Orthodox youth ages 6th-12th grade! It is an opportunity for our children to get away from the hustle and bustle of their lives, and to refocus on Christ during the Lenten lead up to Pascha (Easter). It is also a wonderful way for kids from different communities to get to know one another, and to form lasting friendships with one another. The retreat will be headed by the local clergy and youth directors, and staffed with trained young adults, many of whom have been counselors in the past. We will have groups of campers coming from all around the Metropolis of New Jersey. Take a moment to sign up below.

Our last day at camp, Friday, July 11th (St. Euphemia & St. Sophrony of Essex)

During the day the children competed in a series of water and land olympics between the cabins. In the evening we finished our week at CGS with a candle-lit Paraklesis (Supplication) service to the Thetokos down on the beach next to the Piankatank river. It is always best to conclude a week at camp in prayer and enjoying the beauty of God's good creation.
