Today, our hearts are full as we reflect on what an incredible day it was for Cobbler’s Closet. We are so thankful for everyone who helped make it possible for us to serve children in our community.

A huge thank-you to Lamont Linton for allowing us to use his flatbed trailer to haul FORTY totes from HBC to the event.

Thank you to Shelby Goodlett and our Miss Teen Mercer County, Emma Goodlett, for spending the entire day helping and staying until the very last tote was unloaded and put away.

A special thank-you to the Mercer County girls soccer team for showing up, lending a hand, and helping pack the totes back to the church. Your willingness to serve our community means so much to us.

Thank you to Mercer FRYSC for assisting, picking out clothes for children, and being a comfort for the students they see everyday at their schools!

Thank you to DJG Services for their generous donation and their endless support of our mission.

A huge thank-you to Servants by Grace for organizing this incredible event and allowing Cobbler’s Closet to be a part of it. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside you and to help meet the needs of children and families in our community.

And thank you to everyone who donated toward the purchase of totes. They were definitely put to good use! We took 40 totes to the event and came back with only 22.

Seeing our community come together to help local children is such a blessing. We truly couldn’t do this without each and every one of you. ❤️

Tomorrow, Cobbler’s Closet will be participating in a back-to-school event to provide free clothing to children in need. As we were getting everything ready, we realized that we don’t have enough totes to hold all of the donations.

If anyone has any extra totes like the ones pictured below that we could borrow or donate, we would be incredibly grateful. If you’d rather help financially, I’ll also include our Venmo information so we can purchase the totes we need tonight.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us serve children and families in our community. Thank you all so much for your continued love and support of Cobbler’s Closet. ❤️

Hi friends — I’m Emily Campbell, and I want to introduce you to something incredibly close to my heart: Cobbler’s Closet. 🧡

After walking through infertility, pregnancy loss, and finally welcoming our two sweet boys, Grayson and Silas, my husband Ethan and I also felt called to become foster parents. Our very first placement — a baby girl who arrived with nothing but a onesie and a paci — changed everything for us.

That baby girl? We lovingly called her “Cobbler.” And because of her, this ministry was born.

✨ Cobbler’s Closet is a ministry of Harrodsburg Baptist Church that exists to support foster, kinship, adoptive, and at-risk families in Mercer County and surrounding areas. We provide free clothing, baby gear, and essentials to caregivers stepping into the gap for vulnerable children.

We know firsthand how overwhelming placement day can be — and how powerful it is to be met with practical help. That’s exactly what we hope to provide through Cobbler’s Closet: relief, community, and the love of Christ.

We operate solely on donations, and every single item given or dollar donated goes straight into helping families in need.

💛 That’s a wrap on our 2nd Annual Back to School Event🎒✨

From backpacks and clothes to sweet treats and big smiles, today was all about community showing up for community. We’re so grateful for every volunteer, family, and organization who made this day special!

📚 URGENT NEED: Backpacks for Back-to-School Event Tomorrow! 🎒

Our back-to-school event is happening TOMORROW, and we are running low on backpacks for our students. We want every child to walk in feeling confident and prepared—but we need your help to make that happen!
