Our first Thursday night went really well. We talked to truckers while walking in the parking lot, as well as inside the restaurant. As usual, I asked a trucker what he was hauling. He said, “dog food.” There you go! Your dog could go hungry without the truckers. Meet our new chaplain, Al Davis, second from the left. Good to have him on board. We’re always looking for a few good men and women who love the Lord and appreciate what our truckers do for us. Be sure to read last line on sign on the floor:)

We want to let all you truckers and prayer warriors know that High-Way Ministries is moving to Thursday evenings at 4:30 from Wednesdays. We believe this works better with our availability. See you then!

Truckers, hope to see you Wednesday night at 5 pm at the TA Barkeyville, PA. We had a great time talking to several of you who were out in the parking lot in your trucks. It's always nice to get to talk and pray with you. We'll also be inside at the Country Pride Restaurant in the evening if you need anything - a Bible, literature, prayer, or just someone to talk to. We'll be there for you.

Joe Zerbie and I attended the Allegheny Regional Conference annual sessions this weekend. Given the theme of fresh expressions and the church becoming more missional, we chose to wear our chaplains High-Way Ministries shirts. Joe serves at Saap Brothers Travel Center in Clearfield, PA, and I serve the TA Travel Center in Barkeyville, PA.

Wednesday night was another very busy evening with the truckers at the Barkeyville T A. What made a difference this week was that we spent most of the night out in the parking lot, walking and talking to the truckers. We talked to several Christian truckers, and it was like a mini revival service for us. They are so appreciative of what we are doing here at Barkeyville. One trucker wanted to give us a donation, and I just said it really wasn’t necessary; we just want to be a blessing to you. A trucking couple asked for prayer for their son, who has some serious mental health issues. They were very serious Christian people. Before we went outside, we did talk to a couple of young truckers inside the Trucker lounge. They were very receptive as well and appreciative of what we do. We always give out Bibles and devotional materials. We are now giving out a Trucker good news magazine that is professionally printed and has testimonies of truck stop chaplains and truckers across the US and Canada. We are always looking for new volunteers to come and see what it’s all about. We are there every Wednesday evening at 5 o’clock. Follow our page for any changes.

Calling all truckers passing through Barkeyville, Pennsylvania on I-80 Wednesday evening. Highway Ministries chaplains will be at the Barkeyville T.A. Just come into the Country Pride restaurant and we'll be there around 4:30 to greet you, talk with you, and pray with you.
