We desire to see our city and surrounding communities impacted by someone who knows and loves Jesus We want to exist as a family of healthy humans restored.

We are merely a group of redeemed people privileged to be his instruments. The mission of God on the earth is that of reconciling all things back to himself by advancing His kingdom–his generous and gracious rule in the earth through the hearts of his people. In this, we intend to first and foremost be diligent disciples. If we are disciples of Jesus, the natural outpouring of that is to make othe

r disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). We foster an environment through which the Spirit of God is able to cultivate disciples of Jesus that will be used in His mission, to advance His kingdom, and to restore the earth. Our overarching vision is to see every corner of our city, and its surrounding communities, affected by someone who knows Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Ultimately, we want to reach the ends of the earth with the gospel. That begins with permeating the message of Christ in our city and flooding the streets with His eternal hope. Our deepest desire is that Aletheia Church would serve, in whatever way God decrees, in the redemption of people from all nations (Revelation 7:9-10), going to the ends of earth in search of someone who will receive the same washing of regeneration, from the Spirit, that we did (Titus 3:5). Thus, our efforts revolve around the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Yesterday at Aletheia!

We kicked off our new fall sermon series and were reminded of who we are because of Christ: blessed, chosen, adopted, redeemed, and forgiven. What a foundation as we begin this new series together! 🙌
We also had the joy of celebrating three baptisms as three people publicly declared their faith in Christ and shared the story of His redemption in their lives. What a beautiful Sunday!

We’re so thankful for what God is doing in and through His church. We can’t wait to see what He has in store for this fall!

What an awesome Sunday! We welcomed our college students back, closed out our summer sermon series, and heard an encouraging message from former Aletheia Church member and JMU student, Pastor Brandon from Eden Church in North Jersey!

This Sunday, we looked at the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15 and were reminded that God doesn’t give up on the lost. He pursues the one until He finds it and rejoices when it is found.

We were challenged to make that our mission too: seek the lost, find joy in seeing people come to Christ, and pursue them with persistence, genuine relationships, gentleness, and intention.

As we head into a new week, let’s pay attention to the people God has placed around us. Who might He be asking us to pursue?

That’s a wrap on another amazing summer of VBS! ☀️

Over four summer Mondays, we learned that God is our Creator, Righteous, Merciful, and Victorious. Most importantly, we were reminded of the good news of the gospel: “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 6:23

A huge thank you to Rebecca for coordinating all of the fun, to every volunteer who gave their time and energy to make it possible, and to Heather and Kim for keeping everyone well fed each week. We are so grateful for each of you!

Thank you to all the families who joined us—we loved spending the summer together!

It was a joy to gather with our church family this first Sunday of August! ☀️ Joey, one of our elders, brought this week’s message from Luke 12 as we looked at the Parable of the Rich Fool.

We were reminded that while planning wisely is good, our greatest investment is in God’s Kingdom. As we begin August, may we seek His Kingdom above everything else, trusting Him and living for what is eternal.

This Sunday, one of our elders, Ace, challenged us with two important questions from the Parable of the Weeds: • What does this parable teach us about the Kingdom of God? • How should we live in faithful anticipation of that Kingdom?

We were reminded that God’s Kingdom is here, but not yet complete. Evil is real, but God’s victory is certain. Until Christ returns, we’re called to trust God with what only He can do, grow in discernment through His Word, and continue pointing others to the hope of the Gospel.

Church recap// Luke 15:11-32 // The Prodigal Son part 2

Joey Testa led us through this powerful parable one more time but this time from the perspective of the older brother reminding us that this parable is about two “lost” brothers and not just one.

Church, we can become like the older brother whenever we let our prideful morality anger us in our self-righteousness when the lost are welcomed into the Father’s presence. When we don’t rejoice in what the Father is rejoicing in, something is very wrong in our hearts. This is a misguided pride in our “goodness”, instead of a heart for our heavenly Father and His vision and heart for the lost.

Just as the father in the parable “entreated” the older son, he also entreats us now to be joined to His heart for the world.

What holds you back, church? Bring it to Him, and find wholeness and vision for the Kingdom in His presence.
