12 Trees and over 200 plants were put in place around Otterbein this weekend. Volunteers were responsible for planting a variety of native vegetation. Thanks to all volunteers for their hard work - next spring your hard work will be on display!

Banner day at Harrisonburg Farmers Market! Gleaners Vicki and Tara delivered 409 lbs of donated produce to Our Community Place and The Salvation Army!

Partnering with Kingsway Prison and Family Outreach's Apple Tree Project, Otterbein members bring a little Christmas cheer to children of incarcerated parent/parents.

Gleaning continues at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market. The Wenger family helped with gleaning on Saturday, October 14. Kaelyn helped bag and weigh produce as Eliza enjoyed a popsicle!
The 101 lbs. of fresh produce was delivered to a very grateful Salvation Army.

Lt. Douglas Ingold, new Corps Officer at the Salvation Army, accepts 174 pounds of produce donated by vendors at Saturday's Farmers Market. Produce will be distributed to clients at the Army's food bank.

On Saturday, September 2, Otterbein Gleaners Tara Eckenroad & Bev Earman gleaned 155 lbs of food.

Otterbein members, along with other Valley Interfaith Action representatives, participated in a neighborhood walk in the Cedar Hills Estate community on Saturday. The purpose of the walk was to assess if the community would benefit from VIA transportation and childcare initiatives. The reps were warmly welcomed and received very positive feedback.

A very successful gleaning day at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market! Gleaners Cheryl Reiman, Emmie Paradise, and Emmie's two little sidekicks pose with Judith Yankey & her daughter of North Mountain Produce. Yellow squash, green peppers zucchini and cucumbers from North Mountain Produce was donated. Port Farm donates fresh Rosemary to gleaner Cheryl Reiman. Glen Eco was very generous in donating miniature squash. Over 80 pounds was delivered to the Salvation Army! Many thanks to the donating farmers and to our gleaners!

Otterbein gleaners, Mary Sue & Wayne Wenger, gleaned 81 lbs. of produce at Saturday's Farmers Market. Donations were delivered to the Salvation Army.

At the June 17 Farmer's Market, donations got off to a slow start for gleaners Phyllis, Betty, and Vicki but late donations of beautiful heads of cauliflower and broccoli lead to our biggest day this season. 91 pounds of produce was delivered to Our Community Place just in time for their next meal! OCP assured us all produce would be used and thanked gleaners for being included in Otterbein's gleaning rotation.
