WRE is excited to have some new faces! Classroom assistants are joining several schools this year to support our teachers. We are excited to welcome Tina Chapman (EES), Gail Bowman (MES & MVES), Kim Compton (RBES), and Tamara Kee (CRES).

WRE begins in most Rockingham County elementary schools on September 8, depending on scheduling. Be sure to get your 2nd-4th grade student signed up by visiting WRERocks.com. We are excited to see our students, and we pray for a safe and healthy year for everyone!

It's time to turn in your yellow slip to register your child for released time to attend WRE. Classes in most schools will begin September 8.

Please remember that you need to complete a new registration each year for your child to attend. Turn in a yellow slip or register online at WRERocks.com.

God heaps abundant blessings on WRE, and we are so very grateful! We want to take a moment to say thank you to the community members and supporters who donated to help supply our classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year. There are many ways to help support WRE! The first (and most important) is to continue to PRAY for our program, board, teachers, and students.

We had a wonderful time of fellowship and learning at our WRE Teacher Workshop yesterday! Teachers shared lessons that work well in their classroom, and an RCPS teacher offered guidance on classroom management techniques. Our WRE teachers are faithful servants of Christ—bringing God’s Word to the children in our community!

Last Thursday, we were blessed to honor our teachers and all their successes at our WRE Teacher Appreciation Banquet. This is always a beautiful celebration so graciously hosted at Frieden Farms with music provided by board member Anita Shiflet. Her words and beautiful voice were an encouragement to all!

At the event, we recognized all of our teachers and honored Teaching Director and former teacher, Debby Rimel, for more than 32 years of service to WRE with a special gift as a token of our love and appreciation.

Our WRE teachers are outstanding, and they are the hands and feet of Christ in our local community. Teachers, we appreciate and thank you for all the hard work you do bringing God’s Word to the children!❤️
