Last Thursday, we were blessed to honor our teachers and all their successes at our WRE Teacher Appreciation Banquet. This is always a beautiful celebration so graciously hosted at Frieden Farms with music provided by board member Anita Shiflet. Her words and beautiful voice were an encouragement to all!

At the event, we recognized all of our teachers and honored Teaching Director and former teacher, Debby Rimel, for more than 32 years of service to WRE with a special gift as a token of our love and appreciation.

Our WRE teachers are outstanding, and they are the hands and feet of Christ in our local community. Teachers, we appreciate and thank you for all the hard work you do bringing God’s Word to the children!❤️

Saturday’s WRE concert was a tremendous blessing to the soul—to God be all the glory and honor! Thank you to everyone who attended!

We are grateful for the opportunity to share this event with you, and we hope everyone enjoyed this time of praise and worship. We want to thank our music director, WRE teachers, students, patrons, board members, volunteers, families, churches, local supporting businesses, community leaders, and everyone else who made this concert possible.

We want to give special thanks to Spotswood High School for sharing their space with us and providing the most awesome crew to help with the concert, to Peak View Elementary for providing additional chairs to ensure enough seating, to Frieden Farms for providing a truck and trailer to store and transport chairs, to Valley View Golf Carts for lending us golf carts to help with transportation needs, and to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department for safely directing traffic.

We also want to thank Classic Menswear for our sharp looking ushers, New Beginnings Church for the fantastic youth who helped set up chairs and register students, and the MANY volunteers who simply showed up and helped where needed. Many hands make light work, and we had the most wonderful team of volunteers this year—thank you everyone!

🎵We are excited for our favorite event of the year! 🎵

Our WRE Spring Concert "The Lord is my Shepherd" is THIS Saturday, March 14th, at 4:00 pm at Spotswood High School.

If you have not turned in a registration for your child or if you thought you couldn’t attend but your plans changed, please join us! Student registration begins at 3:30 pm.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday as we join our students in praise and worship of Our Lord.

**WRE 2026 SPRING CONCERT** It’s hard to believe our concert is only two weeks away! If you have not turned in a registration for your child or if you thought you couldn’t attend but your plans changed, please join us! We’ve missed a lot of school days due to weather, but the students and teachers have been working hard on their songs and are excited to sing them for you. We know you will be blessed by their performance. We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday, March 14!

We are excited to have new carpeting in two more buildings! Thanks to an anonymous donor and the hard work of CC Flooring & Design, the WRE buildings at Cub Run ES and Peak View ES recently had brand new carpet installed. The students are enjoying their new and improved classrooms! God is so good! 🙏

Once again, the Lord blessed WRE with a very successful Fall Benefit Auction! We want to thank everyone who donated, attended, provided baked goods, shared our ads, and supported the auction.

A special thank you to Nathanael Gartzke who served as our auctioneer and kept things moving along.

We extend our gratitude to the many individuals, church, and local businesses and organizations who supported us and to our fantastic board members who made it all happen!

Other auction items include beauty products donated by Hair Corral, a load of topsoil and delivery donated by Lam Enterprise, Inc., and the following coins donated by an anonymous donor: 2007 1 oz. Silver Eagle Uncirculated Coin, 2020 1/10 oz. Gold Eagle Proof Coin, Benjamin Franklin Half Dollar Album (complete with 35 coins), and a Tube of 20 Uncirculated 90% Silver JFK Half Dollars.
