What a blessing it was to honor Pastors Tollie and Sue Sutterfield this morning at Batavia Assembly of God!

Yesterday marked their 67th wedding anniversary, and today we had the privilege of presenting them with a card and a small gift to celebrate this incredible milestone.

For 36 years, Pastor Tollie and Sister Sue faithfully served as pastors of Batavia Assembly of God, pouring their hearts into this church and community. Although they retired from pastoral ministry about 15 years ago, their dedication to the Lord has never diminished. They continue to serve Jesus faithfully and work tirelessly for His Kingdom.

Their lives are a beautiful testimony of faithfulness, love, commitment, and service. They have touched countless lives through the years and remain an encouragement and example to all of us.

Pastor Tollie and Sister Sue, thank you for your many years of faithful ministry, your love for God, and your devotion to one another. We love you dearly and are grateful for the lasting impact you have made on our church family.

Please join us in wishing them a happy 67th wedding anniversary! May the Lord continue to bless them with joy, strength, good health, and many more precious years together.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free, and we are deeply thankful for those who were willing to lay down their lives for others.

As believers, Memorial Day also reminds us of the words of Jesus in John 15:13:
β€œGreater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

We pray today for every Gold Star family, every veteran, and every person carrying the memory of a loved one who served. May God bring comfort, peace, and strength to your hearts.

At 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐯𝐒𝐚 π€π¬π¬πžπ¦π›π₯𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, we are grateful for the blessings of freedom we enjoy, and we never want to take for granted the courage and sacrifice that helped preserve them. Let us also remember to pray for our nation, for our leaders, and for the men and women who continue to serve today.

May God bless our community, our military families, and the United States of America.
