Carolina Trace Rd is open! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

🎉 Carolina Trace is OPEN!

Thank you, Harrison, for your patience while crews completed the additional work needed to build a stronger, longer-lasting roadway. We know detours are never easy, and we appreciate everyone's understanding throughout the project.

The road is now open to traffic. Safe travels, and thank you for helping us improve Harrison's infrastructure, one project at a time.

Important Update regarding the Carolina Trace Rd Closure.

Carolina Trace Construction Update:

We know everyone is eager to have Carolina Trace reopened, and while this means a few extra days of construction, it will help ensure the roadway is built to last.

During construction, crews determined that the road base requires additional stabilization before paving can begin. This additional step is necessary to create a stronger, longer-lasting roadway. Because the stabilization material must remain undisturbed for three days to properly cure, the contractor is unable to begin that process this Friday as originally planned.

Once the stabilization is complete, crews will place the stone base, pave the roadway, and finish the remaining work.

Based on the current schedule, Carolina Trace is now expected to reopen to traffic on Friday, July 17, 2026.

We understand this extension is disappointing, and we appreciate your patience as we work to ensure the project is completed correctly rather than simply completed quickly. Thank you for bearing with us while these final improvements are made.
