Sheora Harris (she/her), a native of Lynchburg, Virginia, has spent the past 20 years cultivating community, celebrating life, and creating safe spaces in Richmond, Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Virginia Union University and furthered her studies in ministry and missions at Faith Landmarks Bible Institute.
Since 2006, she has served in both public and private school districts, contributing as an educator and organizational leader. In 2011, she co-founded The Beauty Within Girls, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to mentoring and empowering girls ages 9–13 through spiritual support and life skills development.
In addition to her professional and nonprofit work, she actively serves in civic and social organizations as a member, volunteer, and chairperson. Through this work, she has led initiatives, coordinated community efforts, and supported programs that uplift and empower individuals and families. Her leadership in these spaces reflects a deep commitment to service, collaboration, and creating meaningful impact at the community level.
Passionate about strengthening organizational culture and building meaningful community relationships, she is committed to expanding her purpose by fostering connections between congregational life and the Harrisburg community. She strives to serve as a vessel of love and support through both operational excellence and visionary outreach.
Her “why” is rooted in a deep understanding of the commitment required for effective organizational operations and the urgent need for impactful outreach in the Harrisburg community. She is passionate about building relationships that matter, reflecting God’s heart for all people, and intentionally spreading love and joy everywhere she goes.
