Great way to celebrate Irish Heritage month with our guest speaker Joe Wayne, great grandson of Jack Kehoe, a Hibernian wrongly convicted and executed for being an alleged “Molly Maguire” in the PA coal fields. Joe shared a great story with our division about the wrongs dealt to many AOH members and how he worked to receive a pardon for Jack Kehoe.

Join us for this very special, informative and insightful evening featuring the great- grandson (Joe Wayne) and great-granddaughter (Anne Flaherty) of John ‘Black Jack’ Kehoe.

Joe Wayne is the proprietor and tour guide of the famous Hibernian House in Girardville, PA. The Hibernian House contains numerous historical items associated with ‘Black Jack’ Kehoe and the Mollies - including the jail door of John Kehoe. Joe has a unique and exceptional expertise related to John Kehoe and the Molly Maguires and enjoys sharing this significant part of his heritage with others.

Anne Flaherty (Joe’s cousin) is also an expert on ‘Black Jack’ Kehoe and the Molly Maguires. Her book, The Passion of John ‘Black Jack’ Kehoe is considered to be an excellent deep dive into the life and times of John Kehoe and the Molly Maguires period.

Anne was able to thoroughly investigate and expose the injustices and corruption of the Molly Maguires prosecution and help secure a pardon for her great grandfather in 1979.

The struggle of these men rightfully deserve a place in our history that represent the persistent battles for justice and human rights for all.

Anne will have autographed books for sale.

Happy International Women’s Day!

Today is International Women's Day and in honor of Irish-American Heritage month we celebrate a mother of modern computer programming ... Kathleen "Kay" McNulty Mauchly Antonelli.

Kathleen was born in Creeslough, County Donegal, and came to America with her family when she was a young girl. She was the daughter of James McNulty, an Irish patriot and a commandant of the Doe Battalion of the Irish Volunteers during the Irish Rebellion. She later went on to become a brilliant computer programmer and one of the six original programmers of the ENIAC, one of the first general-purpose electronic digital computers.
