On Pentecost, we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit — like wind and fire — filling the disciples with courage, hope, and the power to share God’s love with the world. The Spirit is still moving today, bringing new life to the Church and to our hearts.

The Veterans Celebration may be at a new and exciting location this year — Century Village at Fryer Park — but you’ll still find Harrisburg United Methodist Church there serving up some of your favorites! Stop by for biscuits & gravy, coffee and donuts in the morning, plus lunchtime favorites and special craft items and breads throughout the day.

We’re honored to once again be part of this wonderful community event celebrating our veterans and military history. We hope to see you there!

This morning, the Chaffin Brothers and Buddy Smith blessed us with music, laughter, and a heartfelt Mother’s Day celebration.

But one of the sweetest moments came after worship, when the next generation stepped up. The “Laing Brothers” got the chance to try out the steel guitar and electric guitar while learning a few tips from some seasoned musicians. Watching music, encouragement, and a little good-natured fun being passed from one generation to the next was something special.

Maybe we just witnessed the opening act of a future reunion concert.
