Knowing the Spirit of God is the key you and I need as we “try” or “test” the spirits. Knowing the Holy Spirit enables you to recognize other spirits. As you know Him better, you will be able to know the operation of other spirits, for truth is found only in the Holy Spirit. Being sensitive to the Holy Spirit will allow you to discern between His voice and the enemy’s voice. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. (1 John 4:2-3)

Spiritual gifts are powers, skills, abilities, or knowledge given by God through the Holy Spirit to Christians. Paul tells the church that the purpose of the spiritual gifts is to edify other believers and, ultimately, to glorify God.
They are for "equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12). Jesus faced the incredible task of laying down his life as a ransom for the world. This task was traumatic and overwhelming, but Jesus accepted it willingly. After hanging on the cross for three hours, Jesus finally gave up his own life. Join us as some of the Ministers from Saint Paul Baptist Church will deliver a short message on the Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross on two Fridays at our Church. Spiritual gifts are something every believer is given when they receive the gift of salvation. Just as the gift of salvation is by grace through faith , so are the spiritual gifts.
Paul emphasizes the varieties of gifts within the unity of God. The gifts are described as gifts, services, and activities but as Paul says, though the gifts vary, they each have the same purpose: the common good. And, though the gifts vary, they are each given as God through his Spirit desires.

Why are we given spiritual gifts ? These gifts are never for our own benefit or to bring glory, reward, or esteem to ourselves. They are for "equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12). Join us as Minister and Teacher Audrey Jackson facilitates Introduction into Spiritual Gifts of The Holy Spirit.

Imagine how much peace and joy we would have if we allowed ourselves to function as God created us to be! Imagine how many we could teach about Jesus Christ and lead to the throne if we each operated in our gifts to bless and build up the body of Christ!!

Prophecy is a gift from the Holy Spirit for the strengthening, encouragement, and building up of the body of Christ and to convey the heart of the Father to His sons and daughters. The foundation for prophetic ministry is the cultivation of deep intimacy with God, where we learn to rest and hear His voice, learn His language and the way He communicates with us, both for ourselves and others. The heart of prophetic ministry is to reflect the Father’s love so that others will have an encounter with Him and be transformed by His love. As we learn together to hear His heart and voice, a prophetic culture will grow, where building up one another in this way becomes a natural expression of kingdom life. In the ministry of Jesus, healing and deliverance were the two most common supernatural signs. They were a demonstration of the message that Jesus preached: the kingdom of heaven is at hand. As the kingdom of God advanced, healing the sick and casting out demons were byproducts. Sometimes Jesus healed people by laying hands on them or speaking a word of command to them. Other times, healing was a direct result of a demon being cast out. You never know when healing will turn into deliverance or deliverance into healing.
