Happy Pride, State College.

We rejoice that all of God's children have a home in The
Episcopal Church and that our congregations are safe havens in
a world that does not always recognize the gifts and dignity of
our LGBTQ+ siblings. This month we gather to celebrate the
gifts, strength, and witness of our LGBTQ+ parishioners. May
our inclusivity be a reflection of God's love for our neighbor and draw others into our community. 'In Christ there is no East or West, in him no South or North, but one great fellowship of love
throughout the whole wide earth.' (Hymnal 529)

— The Rt. Rev. Audrey C. Scanlan, Bishop Diocesan

🌈 You Are Welcome Here 🌈

As we celebrate Pride Month, we give thanks for the beautiful reminder found in Isaiah 56:7:

"My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people."

At its best, the Church reflects God's expansive love, a love that welcomes, embraces, and values every person as a beloved child of God. No matter who you are, where you come from, whom you love, or where you are on your journey of faith, there is a place for you in God's house.

The Northern Tier Convocation joins Episcopalians across the Diocese in affirming that all are welcome, all are loved, and all are invited to participate fully in the life of the Church.

This Pride Month, may we continue the work of building communities where God's welcome is more than words, it is lived out in compassion, justice, and love.

🏳️‍🌈 You are welcome here. You belong here.

A new three-session, video-based course about baptism, Eucharist, and the church’s sacramental rites is available for download or streaming with accompanying study guides. “Signs and Grace: An Introduction to the Sacraments” marks the first video collaboration between The Episcopal Church and Forward Movement in a partnership designed to provide free formation resources for dioceses and congregations.

The course—which includes 45- or 60-minute options, with facilitator and participant guides—is ideal for newcomer classes, adult forums, Sunday school, small groups, and those preparing for confirmation. The three 20-minute-long videos are in English with Spanish subtitles, as well as the study guides.
