As summer break winds down and students across the state prepare to head back to school in the coming weeks, would you please be in prayer for all of the children who attended our Clubs and Camps this summer? Please pray that those who know Jesus as their Saviour would remember what they’ve learned and put it into practice, and that the seeds planted in the hearts of those who do not yet know Him would continue to be watered.

This summer is flying by - a few of our counties wrap up their summer ministry very soon, while others still have a few weeks to go. As this season of ministry winds down, please join us in praying that each staff member, Summer Missionary, and volunteer is able to finish strong and complete the task the Lord has placed in front of them with excellence and joy.

Say hello to Abbey, a Summer Missionary in Columbia-Montour Counties!

One fun fact about Abbey is that she loves backpacking! Her favorite Scripture passage is Isaiah 43:1-2 -
“But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
'Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.'”

This summer, Abbey is most looking forward to interacting with the children and telling them about Jesus. She asks us to please pray that she would have humility and clarity, and that she will remember that she can only do all of this through God’s power.

We are thankful to have Breann back with us again this year as a Summer Missionary in Northumberland County!

Breann enjoys music, and her favorite verse is Joshua 1:9 -
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

This summer, she is most looking forward to sharing God’s love with the children. As you pray for Breann, please pray for strength as she shares the Gospel and fulfills her Summer Missionary responsibilities while also having family members with health complications.

We are happy to welcome Aiden back as a Summer Missionary in Snyder-Union Counties this year!

Aiden has many talents and hobbies that he enjoys: he is an avid runner, enjoys working out, cooking and baking, building LEGO, and loves learning.

This summer, he is most looking forward to meeting each boy and girl and sharing the good news of the Gospel with them. Please pray that Aiden will have rest and a sound mind, and that God will use him to be His hands and feet to each child he encounters.

Today our focus is on Elizabeth, a returning Summer Missionary Trainee in Susquehanna County!

Elizabeth loves playing volleyball. One of her favorite Bible passages is Psalm 78:6-7 -
“That the generation to come might know them,
The children who would be born,
That they may arise and declare them to their children,
That they may set their hope in God,
And not forget the works of God,
But keep His commandments.”

This summer, she is most looking forward to sharing the Wordless Book and teaching the missionary story. As you pray for Elizabeth, please pray that she would share the Gospel effectively with the children, and that she would fully depend on God.

Serving the Lord is exciting and exhilarating, but can also be exhausting. Please pray for continued endurance for our Summer Missionaries, staff, and volunteers. Pray that they will keep their focus on Jesus as they serve Him and minister to the children.
