There is something truly sacred about watching the darkness flee as we gather to celebrate the Risen Christ.

This Easter, we invite you to join us atop Pilot K**b Hill for our Sunrise Service. As the sun rises over the horizon, we will reflect on "The Re-Creation Story," remembering how Jesus met Mary in the garden and began the work of making all things new. Following our time on the hill, we will gather back at the church to share a meal and continue our worship. Whether you have been part of our church for years or are looking for a place to celebrate the Resurrection, you are most welcome. 📖✨

Easter Morning Schedule:

7:00 AM: Sunrise Service at Pilot K**b Hill
(Directions: 3 miles East of Harper, 3 miles South, 1/2 mile West)

8:00 AM: Breakfast at Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church

9:20 AM: Morning Worship Service

🌿 Palm Sunday – “The Courageous King”
Focus: The spiritual challenge of Christ’s authority.

“The question is, does He have all authority over you, too?” 📖

This Palm Sunday, we reflect on “The Courageous King.” When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a humble donkey, He did so with a strength that surpassed any earthly power. He knew His mission would challenge the authorities of His day, yet He remained steadfast in His purpose. He is Lord, the absolute authority over all things—but have we truly surrendered our hearts to His leadership?

Join us as we worship our King and seek the courage to follow Him faithfully.

🌿 5th Sunday of Lent - "Our Greatest Hope"
Focus: The spiritual depth of God’s timing.

“God may not meet our expectations in the short-run, but He will fulfill our greatest hopes in the long-run.”

The story of Lazarus (John 11) teaches us a difficult but beautiful truth: God’s timing is rarely our own. While we often look for immediate solutions to our struggles, our Heavenly Father is working toward a much greater restoration. As we journey through this 5th Sunday of Lent, we find comfort knowing that He is a safe place for our hope and is always worthy of our praise.

Please join us this Sunday as we explore "Our Greatest Hope" together.

🌿 4th Sunday of Lent – “Climbing To Jesus”

John 9:1–41

A blind man received his sight.
But the ones who thought they could see stayed blind.

It is possible to know about God and still miss His heart. This week we look at what it means to truly walk with Jesus, not just talk about Him.

“Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.” – Psalm 119:18

Let’s keep climbing toward Christ together.
We’d love to see you.

We need the ENTIRE community to come out and support the teachers and staff of USD 361. Everyone makes attending sporting events a priority, so let’s make this an even bigger priority.

Show up. Voice your opinions. Let our superintendent and school board know this community is fed up. We won’t support all these rushed, radical decisions.

This group of 8 will continue making decisions that go against the community’s vision unless Harper County stands up and tells them enough is enough ✊

Let’s fill the library on Wednesday! Come stand in solidarity with the teachers who are directly impacting the children of this community.

Board meeting is tomorrow - Wednesday, March 11 at 6:00pm in the CHS Library

With Christmas just around the corner, the Harper-area churches are once again joining together to bring the joy of the season to families in need through the Angel Tree Project. Each year, this effort helps ensure that every child in our community has a gift to open and a reason to smile on Christmas morning.

This year, we’re preparing to brighten Christmas for over 100 local kids! Each registered child, ages 0-18, receives a new outfit and a toy or an age-appropriate gift.

We’re reaching out to invite your support. You can participate by stopping by the banks, City Office, or Library to choose an Angel Tree tag, purchasing the listed gifts, and returning them unwrapped by December 2nd to any of the following drop-off locations: Bank of the Plains, Bank of Commerce, or Harper Elementary School.

If you’d prefer to make a financial contribution instead, donations of any amount are deeply appreciated. Payments can be made via Venmo or by check.

Venmo: Please note your payment for Angel Tree.

Checks: make payable to Ministerial Association, and mail to:
