Thank you to all the businesses in town that helped us advertise our first Community Connect Garage Sale! We had a steady turn out and enjoyed visiting with everyone that stopped by.

I tried to take down our flyers at the businesses where I posted them, but know I missed some due to closed businesses. Please toss the flyer or let me know and I’ll stop by to remove as needed.

Appreciate everyone in our community! -CC

A quick note on the upcoming garage sale: This is our first year hosting this event and congregational members are “working through the pitfalls” as we go. As such, we are not opening up tables to the community at large.

We encourage people to come, visit with the pastors and families that will be present, and express interest in expanding the opportunity to others in the community for selling items at their own tables in future years.

**Please do not set up tables at the sale if you have not spoken with Crystal Ceynowa or Pastor Dan directly. You may reach either by messaging on Facebook or commenting on any of our posts.**

We want this to be a fun, safe, and connecting event that can expand and grow for many years to come.

We invite you to join us this Sunday, May 3rd, for our Monthly Meal on the Grounds, a time of fellowship, food, and fun!

Following the 10:30 AM Sunday Morning service, we’ll gather for a potluck meal provided by the church congregation and enjoy each other’s company. Harper Community, mark your calendars! We are offering a chance to connect with neighbors and visit with others in the community at a multi-family garage sale on May 16th. Please join us on the church grounds and in the Family Life Center Community Building at the First Baptist Church from 9 AM to 1 PM.

We are not accepting donations of items to sell. We hope this community event will act as a “get-together/meet-others” event and is not being hosted as a fundraiser.

Message us here if you have questions or want more information.

We hope to see you here!

Don't forget to join us tonight at 6 PM! FBC Happenings: A Photographic Journey Through Israel

On April 22, we hiked mountains. While we didn't trek up the infamous Mt. Sinai, we did study the covenant between Moses and God. We saw the location and terrain where encampments of over half a million people could have been set up in the desert. We discussed the importance of names in Biblical times. The photos we journeyed through gave visuals to the lands in the book of Numbers.

Seeing the Bible's geography and sites through photos is helping us understand the deeper meaning and connect to God's word in a new way.

We invite you to join us each Wednesday night at 6 PM in the First Baptist Church sanctuary, across from the Family Dollar in Harper, to see for yourself.

We hope to see you there!

The Meaning Of The Pinwheels:

April 26, 2026: National Blue Sunday Day of Prayer for Abused Children.

Blue Sunday National Day of Prayer is a time to remember and pray for Abused Children and Those Who Rescue Them is a powerful reminder of our responsibility to protect the most vulnerable among us.

Observed on the last Sunday of April, this day brings communities, churches, and individuals together in prayer for children who have suffered abuse and for the people who step in to help, including caseworkers, foster families, advocates, and volunteers.

FBC Happenings: A Photographic Journey Through Israel

On April 15, we visited Nabatean ruins overlooking what was once the fabled "spice route." This route was likely traveled by the magi who visited Jesus after his birth. We also discussed King Herod and his many deeds throughout history, which made him a horrible villain to some and "the great" to others.

Seeing the Bible's geography and sites through photos is helping us understand the deeper meaning and connect to God's word in a new way. We invite you to join us each Wednesday night at 6 PM in the First Baptist Church sanctuary, across from the Family Dollar in Harper to see for yourself.

FBC Happenings: A Photographic Journey Through Israel

On April 8, we continued our wanderings in the Desert of Tzin. Pastor Dan specifically drew our attention to the native broom tree, a plant mentioned with special reference in the Bible. This unimposing, but oh so important, desert tree was Elijah’s refuge in 1 Kings. The broom tree is often used as a symbol of God's care and ability to provide in difficult times.

Seeing the Bible's landscape through photos is helping us understand the deeper meaning and connect to God's word in a new way. We invite you to join us each Wednesday night at 6 PM in the First Baptist Church sanctuary, across from the Family Dollar in Harper to see for yourself.

We hope to see you there!
