just about finishing the book of 1 corinthians. it was quite a game changer (MIND CHANGER) this time around and i coupled it with book of the ACTS of Jesus Christ through the apostles. Just like the boo of Acts, this book or letter, if you must; it mentions a lot the works of the Spirt and the works of the law, and has totally dedicated to the Holy Spirit and the works of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the same Spirit, and the love of the Spirit. And the do's of the Spirit and the don’ts of the Spirit.
So... I have come to this conclusion, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the works and fruitrs, and manifestations of the Holy Spirit setting my foundation on the chapters 1 and 2 of the book of ACTS.
No one can receive the baptism and power of the Holy Ghost unless there is a tie of separation and consecration before God. that requirement and I come across over and over in the other books as well. But, the commandment of the Lord Jesus to the apostles and women that were there at the ascension of the Lord Jesus, were instructed to go to Jerusalem, and not move out of there until they were baptize with the power of the Holy Ghost. And they gathered there in the upper room, and stayed there for ten days! praying and in praise and worship before God waiting for the promise! about 120 of them, men and women.
A person or believer, or Christian or whatever names we identify now. Has to spent some time in there personal upper room before the Lord, totally separated from the things of this world (we are in the world, but not of the world), to be clean vessels unto God to receive someone that is so Holy, just as God is holy.
So that puts away or destroys the way some preachers go around calling people in the congregation to come forward to receive, and be baptize with the promise of the baptism of the Holy Spirt and Power. So what are they receiving, if they are not in that position of separation and consecration for a certain amount of time before the Lord, what did they received?
That’s why now i see why the apostle Paul instructed and rebuked, and admonish the church of Corinthians, they had taking this example of Christ instructed to the apostles in the beginning, and had moved away from that that they took so lightly, and incorrectly even in the coming together for the table of breaking bread and wine in the remembrances of the Lord's death till he would return!
When i came across this some years ago and now more recently? I had a lot of apologizing to do before the Lord and repentance , because i too did that, calling people in random times from the meeting i used to minister. We can call all people to repent and call upon the name of the Lord, and if some do and genuinely repent and are save, and if the, and i say again, If the Lord chooses to baptize them with the power and baptism of the promise, that’s is God's doing, not ours. I will never ever again will call that easily from any congregation to come forward to receive the power and baptism of the Holy Ghost; without first asking if they been in consecration waiting for the Promise. for one thing we preachers most of the time don’t know who they are and from where they are coming from and what is going or happening in their lives. Paul admonish this also to Timothy as well "not to lay hands on people suddenly (1 Timothy 5:22).
THE PROMISE OF THE HOLY GHOST IS FOR EVERYONE AND ANYONE THAT HADS REPENTED FROM THEIR SINS AND HAVE TURN TO THE LORD 180% and have had water baptism confessing the Lordship of Jesus!
Do we the 20th and 31st century church have the power or authority to overturn the commandments and instructions of the Lord Jesus Christ giving as an example to the early church from where we come from and from whose roots and foundation we were birthed?
Just like some president and governing body we know, has lost all kinds of respect in the eyes of the world leaders and authority to some extent! todays church in the western world is no better, if it were not for the remnant that has preserved itself in the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, we would’ve already perish! If all of uas that are called christians, or believers would take time to read the bible and pray everyday, everyday, everyday... we would recover what we have lost and sympathized with the modern church theology of today.
but, we don’t read, we don’t pray everyday as we ought to, and look at where we are, we are not here to change the world, (we are not of the world) we are here to be a witness to the world of Jesus and His promise of salvation to any one that would repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and turn from following this wicked world Acts 2:37-40!
