Following the Governor’s guidelines, we have begun the process of reopening this past Sunday, May 3. This reopening will be limited with many restrictions.
For the month of May, our weekly services will be as follows:
Sunday morning worship services ONLY. (There will be no Sunday school)
We will NOT be running our bus route at this time.
Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services will be online only.
In addition, we must maintain 6 feet of space between families in the pews, and every other pew will be closed to allow for adequate social distancing. There will also be no meet and greet time, and as hard as it will be, we encourage people to refrain from hugging or shaking hands at this time.
We will also not pass the offering plate, but will instead have offering plates in the foyer at the conclusion of the service. We would ask that those desiring to give simply drop their offering in the plates as they exit the sanctuary. We will have plenty of hand sanitizer available and encourage people to wash hands frequently. Masks are also mandatory.
We would also ask anyone who is experiencing any of the following symptoms to please stay home and watch the service on Facebook:
• Cough
• Shortness of breath of difficulty breathing
• Chills or repeated shaking with chills
• Muscle pain
• Headache
• Sore throat
• Loss of taste or smell
• Diarrhea
• Feeling feverish or measured temperature greater than or equal to 100
• Known close contact with any person known to have Covid-19
• Anyone who has a compromised immune system
In addition, we would encourage anyone who is nervous or apprehensive about going out into public at this time to simply stay home and enjoy the service on Facebook.
As we get closer to June, we will reassess and determine how we want to proceed.
