Fear and worry can get in our way. We begin to think about what could happen and anxiety sets in. We stay up at night, with our minds thinking of a hundred different scenarios of what could have, or should have happened.
Most of the time the worry was wasted. The sleepless night just made us tired the next day. We struggled about things that never came to fruition.
2 Timothy 1:7
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self discipline.
John 14:1
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
Satan would like nothing better than for us to spend our days worrying and struggling with insecurities and fear. It will take our mind off the Savior when we get caught up in the worry game.
God gives us power and strength.
We have to focus in God not the problems. Whatever we spend our time doing can overflow in our personalities and our daily walk.
Negativity and worry can breed negativity and worry. Have you ever found yourself around “Debbie Downer.” She will tell us that worry is correct and wants us to wallow in it.
Life is way too short to allow worry and fear to consume us.
God tells us to come to him , all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
He knows that we will worry and get anxious, however he offers us opportunities to give our worry to him.
Matthew 6:27
Can any one of you add a single hour to his life by worrying?
We all know the answer is no. Allow God to take the worry and flood you mind with his love and his mercies. Focus on the answers….Jesus♥️
Dear God,
Consume our minds with you, not worry and fear. Help us realize no matter what is going on in life, you offer hope, love, peace, and joy. Fill our hearts with each one.
Amen
