North Scipio Christian Church We are a nondenominational Church here to serve God, edify Christians, and preach the Gospel.

We are a Nondenominational Church serving Harlan, IN/Hicksville, OH, and surrounding areas since 1841 when we were just a small log cabin Methodist church on Ridge Road, now State Road 37 IN. In 2023 the congregation voted to leave the Methodist denomination and become the now North Scipio Christian Church. The Bible, in its entirety, is the infallible, inerrant, and inspired Word of God; it is divine revelation that carries the full weight of God’s authority and to which we are obliged to submit. Within the Godhead is a unity of three distinct yet fully divine persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; these three are one true, eternal God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
