St. Paul's Episcopal Church Service Times: 1st, 3rd, 4th, (and 5th) Sundays are at 10:00 am.
2nd Sundays are at 9:00 am. We are a church in the Diocese of Iowa, Episcopal Church, USA.

We believe that being Christian means celebrating the Good News of Jesus Christ. We do this with worship and in community. Being in community means serving those near and far, directly and indirectly, and being in solidarity with those who are marginalized by society.

Rest
Whenever we are weighed down with care, all we need do is to hand our burden to Christ, trusting him to carry it for us and with us. As the psalmist says, “Whenever I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” A simple act of trust, a simple letting go, ushers us into the place of rest.

Ambition
Competition can be helpful for creating and improving, but in trying to be great and greatest, we often abuse power. We hurt and kill one another, both humans and non-human neighbors. “Where there is envy and selfish ambition, there will also be disorder and wickedness of every kind.” Our fragile mother earth bears the wounds of our ambition.

Creation
As the dignity of creation is renewed and restored at the altar Sunday by Sunday, we have the opportunity once again to choose life, that we may live. In choosing life, our fellowship with creation is restored. It no longer is a thing to be exploited. We discover it to be a revelation of God’s love, and a means of God’s grace.

Infinitude
The galaxies remind us of the infinitude of God’s light, and life, and love which is beyond us, around us, and also within us. We ground that awareness in our own work of righteousness, for the love of God. Our life’s mission is to be agents of the majesty and mercy of God, who is the beginning, the way, and the end of all life.
