Tomorrow, backpacks are packed, alarm clocks are set, and a brand new school year begins.

For some, tomorrow brings excitement. For others, it brings a few nerves, new classrooms, new teachers, new friendships, and a whole lot of unknowns.

So tonight, we’re praying.

We’re praying for our students as they step into a new year. That they would be kind when it’s hard, courageous when they feel nervous, wise when they have decisions to make, and bold enough to stand for what is right.

We’re praying for teachers and staff. That God would give them patience, strength, creativity, and opportunities to make a lasting difference in the lives of the students they serve.

And we’re praying for parents. For peace as they send their kids out the door, wisdom as they guide them, and a reminder that they can trust the God who goes with their children wherever they go.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified… for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

Church, let’s be praying over our students, teachers, staff, and families as this new school year begins.

New year. New opportunities. Same faithful God.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE IS TONIGHT!

Midweek is here, and we’ve got a place for everyone!

Adult Class with Steven and Suzanne Bucci
Youth Group with Pastor Hunter
Club 567 with Danielle and Gabe
Elementary Kids with Pastor Chelsea

Pre-service dinner starts at 5:30 PM with pizza, salad bar, and Michele Walker’s famous dessert!

Then all classes kick off at 6:30 PM and run until 8:00 PM.

Come hungry. Come ready. Let’s make tonight a good one!

Dear Parents,

I want to personally invite you to a very special weekend coming up at Harbor Light on Sunday, September 13 and Monday, September 14 with Dr. Kathy Koch.

I had the opportunity to hear Kathy speak at a conference last fall, and as I sat there listening, I knew we needed to find a way to bring her to Northern Michigan. She is an incredible speaker and has a wealth of practical, biblical wisdom when it comes to understanding, encouraging, and raising kids and students.

As parents, I know you want to help your kids grow into confident, healthy young people who know who God created them to be. Kathy has an incredible ability to take some of the challenges parents are facing today and give you practical tools, encouragement, and a biblical perspective that you can actually use at home.

Dr. Kathy will be with us throughout the weekend:

Sunday Morning, September 13 at 9:00 & 10:45 AM – Kathy will be sharing during both of our morning services.
Sunday Evening at 5:00 PM – Raising Gender Confident Kids
Monday Evening, September 14 at 6:00 PM – 8 Great Smarts
I really want to encourage you to make these nights a priority if you can. Whether your kids are little, teenagers, or somewhere in between, I believe you will walk away encouraged and better equipped to understand and lead them.

This isn't just an event for parents either. Please invite grandparents, teachers, coaches, youth leaders, small group leaders, and anyone else in your child's life. The weekend is designed to equip the adults around our kids to build confidence, strengthen relationships, and inspire the next generation.

The entire weekend is free, and no registration is required. Just come and be part of it.

We don't get opportunities like this very often in Northern Michigan, and I truly believe this will be a great investment in you, your family, and the kids God has placed in your life.
