It’s been a busy couple of days! Two days ago the team walked over 9 miles around the city of Istanbul! We saw Hagia Sophia, a church turned into a mosque that still has Jesus prominently displayed! We went to the Basilica cistern which was absolutely amazing! We are eating the best food! Shopped at a grand bazaar! Spent time worshipping both days at two different churches and encouraging the pastors but it seems like we all walked away filled and encouraged too!! We took a bosphorus tour, a boat ride. Some of us held a parrot, most of us have drank Turkish coffee, we have eaten baklava and Turkish delight, we have had the best chicken in the world which is kebab! We have taken every mode of transportation, boat, taxi, metro and walking. We have prayed and cried and laughed! Today we will worship in two different churches. We are splitting the team due to the size of the churches in Turkey. Pastor Alex will speak at one and Pastor Aimee at the other. There are only 10,000 Christian’s in Istanbul and there is a population of 85,000,000. The church is small here and is not allowed. It is considered as an association. Please pray for our team as we minister and love on the Christians here.
We will be leaving for Ephesus later this afternoon.
