Last week, Pastor Nate walked us through Romans 13, and this Sunday we continued into Romans 14:1–12 with People Over Preferences!!❤️

Romans 14 reminds us that following Jesus means choosing to love people even when we don’t agree with them. Not every disagreement is a matter of right and wrong, and our personal preferences were never meant to become the standard for everyone around us.

As believers, we are called to lovingly hold one another accountable to Christ—& not hold those outside of Christ to something they haven’t surrendered their lives to.

We belong to Christ. We answer to Christ. And ultimately, God is the Judge. Rather than occupying His seat by judging everyone around us, we’re called to love people and point them to Jesus👉👉

Put people before preferences. Put Christ before preferences. And ultimately, lay our preferences at the feet of Jesus.

Walking in Light Under Authority💡

Today, Pastor Nate walked us through Romans 13:1–14 and challenged us to consider what our freedom in Christ actually calls us to!

Because Christ has set us free, we are free to submit to the authorities God has placed over us, free to love others as God commands, and free to walk in the light rather than remain enslaved to sin.

The call of the Christian life isn’t simply to avoid darkness—it’s to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ” and live in a way that makes it clear who we belong to!!!

We also had the privilege of praying over our students, teachers, administrators, staff, and everyone connected to our schools as they step into a new year📚

May we be a Church that doesn’t simply know the truth, but lives it🌾🌾

Such a blessing to hear from James today☺️☺️

Today he taught on Romans 12:1–2 and what it means to respond to all that God has done for us. Because of His great mercy, our response is to offer ourselves fully to Him as a living sacrifice.

Worship isn’t only what we sing—it’s how we live. A life surrendered to God is our response to His mercy❤️

May we walk into this week transformed, surrendered, and living lives of worship!

”I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.“
