In February 2003 God spoke to the heart of Pastor Mark Croskey and said through you I am going to establish a ministry. In February 2003 God spoke to the heart of Pastor Mark Croskey and said through you I am going to establish a ministry. Through Pastor Mark’s wife Gwendolyn, God spoke start with who you have. So, Pastor Mark
began to build the ministry with his family in their home. This took an obedient and faithful spirit and as God promised, others joined, and the ministry began to grow. Through this growth First Lady Croskey was ordained as a pastor and the location changed several times. Many people entered the doors of this ministry. Some came for a season, and some came for a reason. One day God spoke a name change for the ministry Renewing Faith Christian Tabernacle into the spirit of Pastor Gwen. When she spoke it to Pastor Mark, he wasn’t hearing it for the first time because God had spoken it into his spirit as well and it was confirmed. After eleven years in the ministry God began to speak promotion and relocation to Pastor Mark. Pastor Mark was notified that he had been chosen for a position that he applied for in Washington. He was excited about the news, but he wouldn’t make a commitment until he knew the ministry would continue. Pastor Mark approached a friend and a true man of God, Pastor Charles Williams. Pastor Mark was met with resistance when he spoke with Pastor Charles with the offer of taking over the ministry. Pastor Charles and First Lady Jessie Williams were very experienced in the ministry as they both served on the staff at Christian House of Prayer in Killeen Texas and Koinonia Church in Hanford, CA. God continued to pursue after and speak to their hearts. On Friday, February 7, 2014, a Changing of the Guard service was held. Pastors Mark and Gwendolyn Croskey relinquished the charge to keep Shephard Staff over into the hands of Pastor Charles and First Lady Jessie Williams. With Pastor Charles being a native of Hanford and First Lady Jessie being an educator at one of the elementary schools, the ministry plays a significant role in the community by praying for the community, the city, the county and supporting various shelters and organizations. Being an outreach ministry the homeless is fed, families in need are blessed with baskets of food, clothes are donated to families and various shelters in the community. Monetary love offerings are given to individuals and organizations. The ministry has adopted three families in the community to provide for during the holidays with food, clothes and toys. Confession of Faith: We are reaching the world with the gospel through our prayers and support.
