Heavenly Father, grant me the strength to focus on Jesus and recognize the power of Your goodness that is available to me forever. Amen.

We can't look directly at the sun, just like we can't come before God with our sinful souls. But God didn't stay distant. He came to us in Jesus, revealing His perfect love and power. When we look to Jesus, we can see God's love at work. He is our perfect God come to be with us.

Part of being a Christian is humbling ourselves and realizing that without God, our lives truly mean nothing. We are to acknowledge that we have made a conscious choice to turn away from the bad deeds and sinful habits, and we have turned to the holy life God has presented before us.

Dear God, I thank you that I can move in this life, freely, knowing that all I need has been met. I do not count any troubling situation as life-defining, because you will always get me through them. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

We have God, as our Father, who is able to provide for us with ease. This is why we do not panic where troubling situations come. Think of all the troubling situations that have come your way. They are all in the past now. This shows you that God will always settle your situations, no matter what. Your only focus should be trusting in God. Nothing else.
