Some of the kiddos at our first kids movie night! The movie taught kids that the real heroes aren't the most powerful, but the ones who do what is right. We'll do another movie August 30th. (Title firmed up soon)
We want to provide a wholesome "night out" for families, free of cost. We plan to make it a regular activity and to reach more families!

Hi, Everyone! If you haven't heard the news, Bishop Hector Burgos-Nunez and the Cabinet of the Susquehanna Conference have appointed Pastor Cathy Wilcox as the sacramental pastor at Emory UMC effective July through December. She will be at Emory one Sunday per month. This appointment has two purposes. It will lighten my load a bit to allow me to work toward my Local Pastor License. And, Pastor Cathy can administer sacraments that I am not able to as Lay Leader.

We will celebrate communion on the dates she is with us. For the next two months, those dates are July 19 and Aug 23 as I will be taking vacation time then. In September, the current plan is to continue the usual "first Sunday of the Month" schedule for celebrating communion. Additionally, on August 23, Pastor Cathy will preside over the "Service of Reception into Membership" and bring TWO new members into our congregation. 🎉✝️🎉

We will also warmly welcome Pastor Cathy with a fellowship hour following the service this Sunday.

ALL are always welcome!!
