🎧 TUNE OUT THE WORLD & TUNE INTO GOD! 🙏

Sometimes the world tells us one thing, but God tells us something completely different.

That’s exactly what happened with Daniel. A new law was passed saying everyone had to pray to the king—but Daniel knew that wasn’t right. Even when it was difficult, Daniel chose to tune out the world and tune into God.

Tonight, as backpacks are packed and alarms are set, we pause to pray.

Heavenly Father,

Tomorrow begins a brand new school year, and we place every student, teacher, administrator, staff member, coach, bus driver, and parent into Your hands.

Go before them and prepare the way. Calm anxious hearts, replace fear with peace, and fill each classroom with kindness, patience, and respect. Give students confidence to learn, courage to stand for what is right, and wisdom to make good choices.

Protect every school, every hallway, every classroom, every playground, and every bus. Surround them with Your angels and keep them safe.

Strengthen our teachers as they pour into the lives of their students. Give them wisdom, endurance, and encouragement for the year ahead.

May this school year be filled with growth, meaningful friendships, new opportunities, and reminders of Your faithfulness every single day.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” — Colossians 3:17

We trust You with this school year and ask that You be glorified in all that takes place.

Kids will not be allowed to go downstairs without a parent (or older sibling).

📢 Attention Parents & Guardians!

Tomorrow is MOVE UP Sunday, and we wanted to make you aware of a new procedure we’ll be implementing beginning this Sunday.

To help reduce hallway traffic and provide a safer environment for all of our children, we ask that you please take a moment to read through the updated pickup guidelines and be prepared to follow them each week during pickup.

Thank you for partnering with us as we work together to keep our kids safe! We appreciate your understanding, support, and cooperation. ❤️

To our kids moving up into 6th grade—I really wish I could keep you all. You’ve been such a special group, and I’m so proud of each of you. I already had several of you ask if you could come back and serve with me, and you better believe we’ll make that happen! I can’t wait to watch you continue to grow in your faith as you begin this next chapter.

To our 1st graders moving up to Crosshaven Kids… WELCOME! 🎉 We are so excited to have you upstairs! I can’t wait to get to know each of you and watch you grow in your knowledge and understanding of who Jesus is, what He has done for you, and how much He loves you.

And don’t forget to stop by the Kids Information Table AFTER the service for some popcorn! 🍿

I mean… what would POP Up Sunday be without popcorn? 😉

📚✏️ Just a reminder! ✏️📚

Tonight is our Back to School Prayer Night and our final summer fellowship before school starts back!

We’ll meet in the sanctuary at 6:30 PM to pray over our students, teachers, school staff, and the upcoming school year. After our prayer time, we’ll head outside for a fun evening of fellowship!

🍧 Shaved ice truck for everyone

We can’t wait to see you there!

A few reminders:
• Kindergarten through Seniors will meet in the sanctuary for our prayer time.
• Nursery through Preschool will go directly to their classrooms as usual. Parents can pick them up after the prayer time in the sanctuary and then join everyone outside for fellowship.

Let’s come together as a church family to pray over this new school year!

Join us tomorrow night for our annual BACK 2 SCHOOL Prayer Walk! 📚🙏

We’ll gather together in the sanctuary at 6:30 PM.

* Kindergarten–Seniors will meet in the sanctuary for our Prayer Walk.
* Nursery–Preschool children will head to their classrooms as usual.

After the Prayer Walk, parents can pick up any children in the DB Building, and then everyone is invited to join us on the lawn for a fun time of fellowship! We’ll have a bounce house, shaved ice truck, and yard games for the whole family to enjoy.

As we begin a new school year, let’s come with hearts ready to pray over our students, teachers, administrators, school staff, and everyone who walks those hallways each day.

We aren’t just sending our kids back to school—we’re sending missionaries. Let’s cover them in prayer as they go and shine the light of Christ wherever they are.
