The days following Christ’s crucifixion, the disciples and early Christians were no doubt fearful and afraid. Everything changed the moment they saw the empty tomb! Let the empty tomb be a reminder to all of us that even when things seem bad, Jesus keeps His promises and has power over everything! Today is the day we celebrate THE living God that proved His for you!

It is a beautiful sunny day here today. About 2,000years ago there was complete darkness for 3 hours. Jesus was being crucified for you and me. The Bible says many people walked by Jesus on the cross that day and shook their heads. Then they continued on with their day. Take some time today to “look at the cross” and be thankful for what Jesus did for you!

As we enjoy our evening and sleep in our warm and soft beds, consider what Jesus did on this Thursday night before Easter. Jesus got no sleep, was abandoned by His friends and prepared for the worst days on this earth. And He did it all for you!
