Friends, this is urgent and we need your help.

The American Red Cross has declared only the second national blood crisis in its history. Right here in Connecticut, the shortage is severe. We have less than a one day supply of Type O positive blood nationally. Surgeries are being delayed. Cancer patients are waiting. Newborns and new moms are being affected.

We are at 18 donors signed up for our blood drive on Monday, August 10. Our goal is 27. We need a minimum of 9 more people to step up.

Here’s the thing — walk ins are completely welcome. You don’t even need an appointment. Just show up.

🎁 AND — everyone who donates in August receives a $20 Amazon gift card by email.
🍪 PLUS our famous homemade chocolate chip cookies.

🚨Hey, friends, this is serious.

The American Red Cross has just declared only the second national blood crisis in its history. The entire country — including our state — is now facing a severe blood shortage. We currently have less than a one day supply of Type O positive blood nationally. Less than one day.

Surgeries are being delayed. Cancer patients are waiting. Newborns and new moms are being affected.

That’s why August 10th is no longer just a community blood drive. It’s an emergency response.

Friends, unfortunately, the need for blood doesn’t take a summer break. 🩸

In fact, right now the American Red Cross is facing one of the most critical summer shortages in recent memory. More people traveling, more accidents on the road, more surgeries — and fewer donors walking through the door.

That’s exactly why August 10th matters so much.

Our Community Blood Drive is one month away and we are determined to make it our best turnout yet. If you’ve been thinking about donating for the first time, there is no better moment than this.

The process takes about an hour. The staff walks you through everything. Whether you walk in or sign up ahead of time- you are welcomed and needed.
And honestly? The homemade cookies at the end don’t hurt either. 🍪😄
