Today I was reminded of a moment I’d overlooked: Moses didn’t realize what was truly in his hands until God told him to look again. What I carried wasn’t just a staff—it was a symbol of potential waiting to be unlocked. When I paused and offered it to God, He showed me that ordinary tools can become extraordinary through obedience. It’s a humbling reminder that what I’ve underestimated in myself can become the very means of blessing, growth, and miracle when I yield to His purpose.

Enjoy this brief recap from today’s worship service, June 7th, 2026. Our Bishop Elect delivered the message titled “use What You Got” from Exodus 4:1-17.

Moses questions his own ability to lead Israel out of Egypt. God reassures Moses by revealing His presence, signs, and the assignment, despite Moses’ initial doubts.

Enjoy this brief recap from our Sunday morning worship service, May 28, 2026. Our Executive Pastor, Elder Kim Gwaltney, delivered the message titled “Are You Hiding Still” from Genesis 3:9.

“But the Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you?’”

God’s pursuit, humanity’s response, and the invitation to come into the light. In our broken moments, God continues to seek us out and extend grace.

Reflect on areas we may be hiding—sin, fear, or failed identities—and choose transparency with God and community.

Mental Health Struggles Don't Make You a Bad Christian
One of the biggest misconceptions in faith communities is that struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges means you don't have enough faith.
The truth is: you can love God deeply and still struggle emotionally.
Throughout the Bible, we see faithful people experience fear, grief, despair, exhaustion, and emotional pain. Their struggles did not make them weak, and they do not make you weak either.
1. Seeking help is not a sign of spiritual failure.
2. Therapy is not a lack of faith.
3. Medication is not a lack of prayer.

God often works through community, wisdom, healthcare professionals, and supportive relationships as part of the healing process.
You don't have to suffer in silence.
You don't have to carry your burdens alone.
You deserve support, compassion, and healing.
💚 Faith and mental health can coexist.
💚 Healing is not weakness.
💚 Asking for help is courageous.

If this message speaks to you, share it with someone who may need the reminder today.

June is PTSD Awareness Month. Post-traumatic stress is a real and treatable condition that can affect anyone after a trauma. Symptoms may include intrusive memories, avoidance, hyperarousal, and mood changes. Effective treatments include evidence-based therapies (like CBT, ERP, EMDR) and supportive care. If you or someone you know is affected, seek help from a licensed clinician or a trusted support line.

Special Announcement: June 7 – Rep Your Tribe Sunday

Hey everyone! We’re excited to share a special service happening on June 7th. This is a unique opportunity to invite your circle and celebrate the families, friends, coworkers, and communities that shape who we are.

Rep Your Tribe Sunday
Each member is encouraged to invite as many people as possible who represent your tribe. Your “tribe” goes beyond family—think coworkers, neighbors, teammates, classmates, and anyone who has played a meaningful role in your life.

Not a member of the church already: If you know someone who’s not currently connected to a church family, invite them to experience our warm, welcoming community.

Looking for a church home: If someone you know is searching for a church or a sense of belonging, invite them to explore ours with you.

How you can participate:
+ Start with a personal invite: a message, a call, or a quick text to your tribe members.
+ Bring guests who fit the two criteria above.
+ Share the event to your own social networks and tag friends you’re inviting.

Let’s come together to celebrate community, invite new faces, and show our guests what makes our church family so special.
