Lifehouse Family,
I’m writing today with an update on Pastor Telvin’s health, a praise report, and an invitation for us to love and serve the Howe family during this time.
Many of you may not know that Pastor Telvin spent much of last week in the hospital. On Friday, May 29, after several difficult days of sickness and a worsening infection, he underwent emergency surgery. Doctors discovered the infection had progressed to sepsis, making surgery necessary. They also learned he is dealing with a rare bacteria, and an infectious disease specialist is now helping oversee his care.
We are grateful to share that Telvin is alive, in good spirits, and has returned home. The doctors told the family that if he had waited even one more day to return to the ER, the outcome could have been much more serious. We are praising God for His protection, timing, and mercy.
There is still a long road ahead. Telvin will need IV antibiotics, ongoing wound care, and continued recovery over the coming months. During this time, we want to surround the Howe family with prayer, encouragement, and practical support, including meals and financial generosity as medical bills and other needs arise.

Please continue to pray for Telvin’s healing, strength, and provision for the Howe family, and wisdom for the doctors as they guide his care.
Pastor Telvin will be stepping back from his pastoral responsibilities at Lifehouse to focus on rest, recovery, and healing. His presence will be missed, but I am confident in our staff team and ministry deacons to help carry the load.
If you would like to share a word of encouragement with Pastor Telvin, please feel free to text him at (757) 863-8671.
Love you, Lifehouse. Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and care for the Howe family.
-Pastor John
