NH Rhythms of Grace

NH Rhythms of Grace Worship and Faith Formation for Children with Special Needs and with Autism Spectrum Disorder For those children and their families, St.

For children with special needs and differing learning abilities, participating in a traditional worship service can be challenging! Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Hampstead offers “Rhythms of Grace.”
Rhythms of Grace is a creative church experience for those with special needs from all faith traditions. The program, founded in the Diocese of Connecticut in 2003, began so parents could have a

place to worship with their children without worrying about verbal interruptions, distracting movements or gestures. Rhythms of Grace is sensory friendly: no bright lights, no loud music, and plenty of space to move. Bible stories are told with creative activities that develop sensory integration, fine motor and communication skills. The program is led by an Episcopal priest and a trained group of volunteers whose backgrounds include occupational therapy, teaching and special education. Whether you are looking to introduce your child to faith formation or ease him into your home church, Rhythms of Grace is a great place to start!
