In John 15:1-11, Jesus teaches that he is the true vine and his followers are the branches. Real faith is not merely knowing about Jesus, attending church, or being near spiritual things. Real faith abides in Christ. As believers remain connected to Jesus through his Word, obedience, love, and dependence on him, his life begins to produce fruit in them. This sermon calls us to examine what our lives are producing, turn from the bad fruit of sin, and look to Jesus, the true vine, who gives life to dead sinners and produces lasting fruit in those who trust him.

Today at the SBC Annual Meeting, our denomination sent out 60 plus missionaries to around the world. Some of them were able to stand before us, smile big, and share about God sending them. Others had to stand behind a screen with fake names and voices because they are going to areas where it is illegal or dangerous to share about Jesus. Part of your giving at Island Pond goes to support these and many other missionaries, so their going is made possible by you!
