Hampden Congregational Church, United Church of Christ Worship Services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. Communion is shared on the first Sunday of each month. Open and Affirming. All are welcome here!

Hampden Congregational Church, UCC (HCC), like so many of the historic Congregational Church buildings of New England, bears a strong edifice that has been anchored on the west bank of the Penobscot River on Maine's Route 1 for over 150 years. As generations have passed through and by our church, HCC has remained a comforting constant in our community. Members and friends of HCC have stood by o

ur modest church and witnessed the ebb and flow of the communities we serve, during periods of expansive ministry and contracting discernment. Our house of worship is, indeed, a true reflection of our faith community and the endurance of God's work through Jesus Christ among its worshippers. HCC is an "open door church" meaning an invitation is extended to everyone to enter into our church because we believe that Jesus never turned anyone away, so neither do we. It is with an emboldened spirit that we have recently completed the search for the pastor who can lead us into the new future, undoubtedly one that will not resemble the past, but one that will support our nearly 200-year commitment to celebrating God's command to love and Jesus' call to live the Christian life through faith and service in the Congregational tradition.

Niles Parker has accepted a new position that will relocate the Parker Family to Nantucket, MA! While we, of course, wish Niles, Sonja, Noah, Nicholas, and Eliza the best, we will certainly miss them at Hampden Congregational United Church of Christ! The Maine Tourism Association will be kicking off it's second annual food drive November 1st - the 22nd. Hampden North and South will have drop off boxes as well as Angler's Restaurant in Hampden. All proceeds will benefit the Hampden Neighborhood Food Cupboard. Thank you!
