Why do we vote?
A few thoughts from my feeble brain on the need to be involved in the political process.
Now if you know me you know that I have always been careful not to try to influence anyone to one candidate or another. I still feel that way.
But I also strongly encourage people, all people to get involved in the elections. And to write letters or emails to your representatives. I know that we are always going to be selecting flawed humans to represent us but there are several things to keep in mind as you make your decisions.
It is hard because we need to understand that silence at the polls can have long term results. Keep on voting and sharing your values. Maybe a “flawed” Candidate will move healthy programs forward .
According to research from Arizona Christian University published earlier this month, about 32-million Christians are projected to abstain from voting this November.
Please register and vote.
I was getting petitions for a candidate ratified a number of years back and I was sad that at one major church over 70% of the people who signed that paper were not even registered voters.
I will never tell you who to vote for but I will strongly advise you to vote. Your grandchildren will be the ones who will live with the ongoing results of your decisions.
Just my opinion
Steve.
