So proud of this sweet Mama 💕💕 and to the team of mamas who rallied behind her 🫶🏼.

In January of this year, Leah Collins and her family said the hardest goodbye to her precious three-month-old daughter, Lyla, after 48 long hours in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. 💔

In the midst of their unimaginable grief, they realized how even the smallest things — a toothbrush, chapstick, tissues, gum — became added stresses when arriving with nothing. The kindness of nurses and loved ones helped carry them through those endless days.

From that pain, an incredibly thoughtful idea was born: Blessing Bags for other PICU families. 🥰

With the support of MomCo of Hampden, Discover Church, and many generous donors, Leah, her mom Karen, grandmother, Doreen, and the MomCo team packed 60 bags filled with personal care items, hygiene products, snacks, electrolyte packets, and more, each one including an encouraging note written in Lyla’s memory.

Our deepest thanks to everyone involved in this donation. Lyla’s beautiful but far too short life continues to bring comfort and hope to other families through these small acts of love.

This week our night and morning MomCo groups came together to say goodbye to our fearless leader, Tiffany, and celebrate all the love, time, and heart she has poured into these moms over the past few years. You could usually find her holding a baby, laughing, and making everyone feel welcome. 💛 From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for everything you've done, you will always be such a special part of MomCo.🫶🏼

🛼We also revealed our NEW 90's theme for next season..Good Company✌🏼

Of course we had to play 90s trivia!!🧡

🌊 Maine summer bucket lists were shared over good food and iced coffee 🧋

We ended by creating the most darling birdfeeder craft outside while the kids played on the playground. 🐦‍⬛☀️

🗣️ Last week at MomCo, we had the privilege of hearing from our dear friend, Dr. Jamie Treworgy, who gave an incredible and insightful talk on sibling rivalry. She shared helpful statistics, practical ways to help siblings feel genuinely close, and important things to avoid to ease tension at home. 🩷🩷

✍🏼 Parenting isn’t easy, and we walked away feeling encouraged and equipped with a wealth of knowledge to bring back to our families.

Fun fact: Jamie was a MomCo leader for MANY years before passing the role down, so having her come back (again) and pour into us in this way felt extra special 🤍🫶🏼
