Life gets busy and confusing, yet our faith comes not from transient circumstances but from the truth of God's character. Whether we realize it or not, our souls are yearning for the thing we need most– a relationship with God. We may not always prosper in this temporal world, but in Christ we can attain the eternal peace and hope our souls are searching for.

May we remain in Him every day and find true rest and respite.

"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." – John 10:11

Today we honor those men and women who chose self sacrifice out of love for their fellow countrymen. They believed in and sought the protection of those certain unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness inherent to mankind, endowed not by any government or entity, but by their Creator. As such, those men and women in their sacrifice embody the reflection of the One who chose self sacrifice out of love for His creation, to save them from their sin and bring eternal life, liberty, and joy.

May we take time today to appreciate the courage of those brave souls and to express gratitude to their, and your, Creator.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" – John 15:13

Part 2, as promised. No matter how tired, stressed, or confused we are, God will always meet us in our moment. And no matter how far we stray, God will always pursue our hearts. Nothing we do can ever separate us from the One who sacrificed it all to save us.

If the sole purpose of Jesus' sacrifice was to remove the separation between us and God, why would we then ever have to stay away from God? God is not the one telling us to withdraw from Him out of guilt or shame. He already removed it.

If we run from God out of fear of consequences, we are actually running from the only One who can rescue us from those consequences and grow us through them. The only thing we are running from is the redeeming power of Christ.

He is always holding out His hand for us, offering us the purest and most powerful love. He gives us the strength and wisdom we need, and nothing can ever pluck us out of His hand.

He always hears us, and He never leaves us. He knows our needs better than we know our own.

May we continually take refuge in the only One who can provide it. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ’š

Happy Resurrection Sunday! May we rejoice in the triumph and glory of Jesus' victory over sin and death not just in this season, but throughout all our days.

Palm Sunday reveals a juxtaposition between the glory and triumph of a coming King and the humility and self sacrifice of an obedient Son. Yet it is this very humility and self sacrifice which allows for eternal triumph and makes possible our worship of His glory.

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a c**t the goal of an ass." – Zechariah 9:9

Dwelling on the things we cannot change is futile. Stealing away burdens that are meant for God and placing them on ourselves serves to actively harm us. Yet we often do exactly that without even realizing it because we are just too scared to give them away. Our own pride and fear keeps us from resting in the assurance of God's control.

We must put our faith in His promises and surrender to His infinite wisdom and sovereignty. He knows what He's doing.
