This is Rosey! He’s working hard in Nicaragua to make life better for kids and teens in his city. We want to help him with his work. We believe that working together with people who love Jesus can produce things that the world would otherwise go without. Rosey teaches Taekwondo and his hope is to open an academy that will teach self discipline and skill that will provide an opportunity for his students to reach higher goals. Most importantly, they will hear the life saving good news about our King and Savior, Jesus.

Update: Because of a loving and generous donation Living Springs was able to send $100 for food. We still need your help for the educational expenses. See earlier post:
Today these children had no food to eat. That’s just a very sad fact. This happens on a regular basis. Children in many countries face this often and for days at a time. The Bugiri Children’s Center needs about $200 each week to feed the children there. I’m one week from today the next school term begins. They need $600 to pay the school fees and prepare the children to attend. Last term the fees were not paid until 3-4 weeks after the term began and the children’s learning suffered. We collect donations to help these children with these an other needs they have. All funds raised go directly to meeting these and other similar needs for children and families in Uganda and Nicaragua. Please pray with us that these needs will be met. Hello! My name is Rosendo Betancourth, a taekwondo athlete from the country of Nicaragua, I am 22 years old and I am focusing on a dream (social project).

Life has not been easy for the children and young people of Nicaragua, there are different types of problems that attack the lives of these people, it can be poverty, hunger, the streets, drugs, or that they do not have a vision for a good future. .

About 2 years ago I met Pastor who showed me a new world where he could help these people, where he could tell them about Jesus and change the lives of those children and young people who are lost.

I am currently focused on achieving that goal and being able to set up a multiple taekwondo academy for children and young people who cannot afford it where, in addition to teaching them the sport as such, they will be taught the word of God.

I will work body and mind with them:

BODY: sport will take care of removing drugs from your body and will ensure that you are no longer thinking about destroying your world.

MIND: We will talk about God's love to help them get out of drugs, depression, etc. and to become people with an immense love for God.

Hola! Mi nombre es Rosendo Betancourth atleta de taekwondo de el país de Nicaragua, tengo la edad de 22 años y estoy enfocandome en un sueño (proyecto social)

La vida no ah sido nada fácil para los niños y jóvenes de nicaragua, existen diferentes tipos de problemas que atacan las vidas de estas personas puede ser la pobreza, el hambre , las calles , las dr**as , o que no tengan vision para un buen futuro.

Hace aproximadamente 2 años conocí al pastor el cual me mostro un mundo nuevo donde podría ayudar a estas personas, donde podría hablarle de Jesús y cambiar las vidas de esos niños y jóvenes que están perdidos.

Actualmente estoy enfocado para lograr ese objetivo y poder lograr poner una academia de taekwondo múltiple para niños y jóvenes que no puedan pagarla donde además de enseñarles el deporte como tal se les enseñará la palabra de Dios.

Trabajaré cuerpo y mente con ellos:

CUERPO: el deporte se encargará de sacar de su organismo las dr**as y se encargara de que ya no esté pensando en destruir su mundo.

MENTE: hablaremos del amor de Dios para ayudarlos a salir de las dr**as, depresión etc y que se conviertan en personas con un amor inmenso por Dios.

Education is essential to break cycles of poverty and other societal problems. We are trying to help 17 children continue their education in Bugiri Uganda. We, along with others, have helped them to get uniforms and begin the current term (although they had to begin late) and now they are in need of fees to complete the term. (They will need help next term also). They need to raise $500 quickly or they won’t be able to take exams and complete this term. Education works very differently in Uganda. Only people who can afford it can go to school. We want to help these beautiful children break the cycle and realize the greatness inside them. Will you help us help them?
