BE CAREFUL WHO YOU JOIN UP WITH!!!

""AND AFTER THIS DID JEHOSHAPHAT KING OF JUDAH JOIN HIMSELF WITH AHAZIAH KING OF ISRAEL, WHO DID VERY WICKEDLY" 2 CHR 20:35

When God has favor on your life, He intervenes in situations and give you victory in your endeavors. He opens doors that have been shut. Promotes you in areas you know you are not qualified for. Gives you miracles of healing and great wealth. All your needs are met. Then all of a sudden things began to go wrong. Nothing seems to go right for you. You are unable to maintain and sustain in life like it once was.

Jehoshaphat was the king of Judah for 25 years in Jerusalem. He did what was right in the sight of the Lord. His faith in God led him to delight in the ways of the Lord. He attacked pagan adultery and sent teachers to the people to teach them more about God. But in his dealings with Ahab, King of Israel, Jehoshaphat
made some serious mistakes.

Through the marriage of his son, Jehoram to Ahab's daughter, Jehoshaphat allied himself with Ahab (Jezebel's husband) King of Israel. Ahab was wicked and did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord. They went into the business of building ships which God destroyed. Because of Jehoshaphat's dealing with an ungodly man, he lost favor with God.

Who have you joined up with? Are you suddenly finding yourself unable to pay your bills? Are things suddenly beginning to go wrong. Has your health changed for the worst.?

You can cancel the favor of God by hooking up with the wrong people. Be careful who you do business with, who you hang around, and who you let into your life.

The Power in Forgiveness

John returned home after many years away anticipating a joyous reunion with his family. Upon arrival, he found his family in a state of chaos. Brother against brother, sister against sister. Issues of addiction and selfishness were among the many issues which confronted john. The family was torn apart and it appeared that the love of God had been buried amongst the rubbish of heartache, pain, and unforgiveness. However, prayer meetings were still going on and attending church on Sunday had not been abandoned; but, there was no fellowship amongst each other. Each family member confessed with their mouth that they had forgiven their brother or sister for many wrongs that had been done, but they still were avoiding each other. Such phrases as, “I’ll love you at a distance” and “…but you’re supposed to be saved” were frequent topics of their conversations.
Because of the love of God in their hearts, attempts to come together to fellowship as a famly were always overshadowed with the elephant in the room. John had no doubt that his family was sincere when they confessed that they had forgiven each other, but, could not understand why there was still so much dissension amongst them. He began to understand that unless reconciliation was not included in the process of forgiveness, healing will not take place.
In spite of our sins, Jesus Christ loved us so much that He died for us on the cross. Most importantly, He rose on the third day morning. While enduring his trials, He stopped to ask God to forgive us. But, He did not stop there. His resurrection brought about reconciliation of man with God. He gave us the opportunity to restore our relationship with God by confessing and believing.
So I ask, in the process of forgiveness, have you created an opportunity that would lead to reconciliation with your fellow man? How do you do that? It certainly will never happen if you choose to avoid those who have wronged you. You must create an opportunity whereas, relationships can be restored. This can be done by:
1. Confessing the wrong that has been done whether it was to you or by you.
2. Pray for those who have wronged you like you’re praying for yourself.
3. Go to your brother/sister and offer an olive branch. Don’t avoid them. Talk about it so that it may be resolved. It may be received or rejected. But, it is important that it happens.
Failure to follow through with forgiveness has serious consequences.
1. If you do not forgive them then God won’t forgive you
2. Failure to forgive can hinder your blessings
3. Spirit of unforgiveness carries with it a heaviness in your spirit which can affect your relationship with God and health in your body.
So, let’s purpose in our hearts to restore relationships and you will receive deliverance and the peace of God will be restored unto you.
