ence. Alfred Hart (who pastors Rock Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Natalbany, LA) was elected the President of the Northshore Conference. November 20, 2010, President Alfred Hart held a call meeting at New Day Missionary Baptist Churches in Hammond, LA to dissolve the alliance with Cornerstone Missionary Baptist General Association. Motivated by local team efforts of the twelve member churches, President Hart’s vision to take the platform toward different developments of organizational emphasis came to fruition. The local churches pulled back from growing as a conference to form their own Association. This moved them toward independent existence as Florida Parishes Missionary Baptist Association. President Alfred Hart served as the leader until the March 15, 2012 election. On March 15, 2012
The Florida Parishes Missionary Baptist Association elected Rev. Robert Smith as their president (who pastors the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Killian, LA and St. James Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA) served as president until March 2015. Albert Carter, pastor of New Day Missionary Baptist Church in Hammond, La is the president. The association has 10 churches in Tangipahoa and Livingston Parishes apart of its membership. The primary headquarters are in Tangipahoa Parish.
