This Sunday, we explored what it means to actively pursue sanctification, walking in step with the Holy Spirit who lives within us. As James 1:19–27 reminds us, we are called to be doers of the word, not hearers only.

God set His love on us before we even knew Him. He removed our hearts of stone, wrote His law within us, and sent His Spirit to give us the power to pursue righteousness. That is the miracle of the gospel.

So what does that look like in daily life? It means putting off sinful passions, acting on the perfect law of liberty, and practicing the great commandment—loving God and loving people. As Philippians 2:12–13 puts it, we work out our salvation because God is already at work within us.

What is one step you will take this week to pursue Him?

What if God stepped in and kept the covenant you could never keep?

In Genesis 15, when Abram could not walk through the covenant animals without being destroyed, God passed through himself. That is the gospel. Jesus took our place, bore our guilt, and cut the covenant with the Father on our behalf. And in Exodus 34, we see that same grace on full display as God renews his covenant with a people who had already broken it, not because they deserved it, but because of who he is.

The old covenant came with glory, but Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 3 that the new covenant surpasses it completely. Through Christ, the veil is removed, and we are being transformed from one degree of glory to another. You do not have to earn it. You just have to look to Jesus.

Come hear more every Sunday as we work through the book of Exodus together.

What if God gave you everything you wanted... but not Himself?

This week we explored Exodus 32-33, where Moses stood between a holy God and a sinful people. When Israel broke covenant with God, Moses offered his own life as a sacrifice—but God said no. Why? Because Moses, like all of us, was flawed. He couldn't be the spotless sacrifice needed to restore what was broken.

But Jesus could. And He did. Christ didn't just secure heaven for us—He secured God's presence WITH us, forever. He lived the perfect life we couldn't live and died the death we deserved. The greatest blessing isn't just salvation from hell; it's having God Himself. When you have Him, you have everything.

The Israelites mourned when God said He'd give them the Promised Land but wouldn't go with them. They understood: God's gifts mean nothing without the Giver. Is Christ your greatest treasure today?

Sin is foolish. We reject the God who is there, create idols we can control, and act out of impatience instead of faith. Exodus 32 reveals the condition of our hearts: even after witnessing God’s miracles, Israel quickly turned away.

But the good news is this: we have a better covenant and a better Priest. Jesus didn’t just intercede for us—He fulfilled what we never could, died in our place, and rose victorious. Our hope isn’t in being good enough; it’s in Jesus being good enough for us.

Today, surrender yourself as a living sacrifice. Trust the God who is there, not the convenient gods we fashion.

Because of Christ, we have what Israel could only dream of—the Holy Spirit dwelling IN us, transforming us from one degree of glory to another. That's not just good news. That's freedom.

God's Personal Presence With His People - God's covenant with us isn't just rules to follow—it's a relationship to live. He goes before us, fights our battles, and empowers us through His Spirit. Our part? Trust and obey. When we walk in His ways, we experience His presence and display His glory to the world.
