“A huge thanks from Sleep in Heavenly Peace - NC, Sandhills; Richmond County goes out to the First Presbyterian Church in Hamlet and the members of their congregation for the monetary donation which will provide two beds, the mattresses, and bedding for children in Richmond County. They also donated 15 beds in a bag along with a few other pieces of bedding.

Generous givers like you make all the difference in a child's life!

Our guest speaker this week is Mrs. Renda Brinson. We look forward to hearing her message entitled “Touched by Interruptions.”The Old Testament scripture is Psalm 33:112. The New Testament is Matthew 9:9-13; 18-26.

This Sunday, June 7, we will honor our high school and college graduates during the morning worship service. Congratulations to:

Carson Jordan-UNC-Chapel Hill BS-Business Administration
Kyra Wall-UNC-Pembroke-Masters in Secondary Science Education

Our PW mission project was very successful! We received 14 comforters with twin sheet sets. We also received $250.00 from an anonymous angel to build a bed plus our session voted to donate $250.00, all to assist in the Sleep in Heavenly Peace project. Many thanks to all who have helped with this mission project! Our church always responds in a huge way to help those needing help!

Our guest minister this week is Rev. Ed Newberry who shared our pulpit just two weeks ago. We look forward to hearing his message entitled “A Community of Grace.” His Old Testament scripture is Psalm 8. The Epistle lesson is Roman 5:1-5. The New Testament is Matthew 28:16-20.

On Sunday, June 7-We will honor our high school and college graduates during the morning worship service.

Our PW mission project for May is to bring twin bed comforters with the Bed-in-a-Bag to help with the Sleep in Heavenly Peace program in Richmond County. We will collect these through May 31st. If you have any questions please see Kim Pence. Thank you to all who have helped with this mission thus far!

Happy Friday. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday which is Pentecost Sunday-The Birthday of the Church. It is also the day we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
Our guest minister this week is Rev. Betsy Williamson who has shared our pulpit many times. We look forward to hearing her message entitled “Inside Out and Right Side Up.” Her scripture for the day is from Acts 2:1-21.

This weekend is also Memorial Day weekend. We want to remember all our military who gave so much so we can enjoy having so much!🇺🇸🇺🇸
