We are off! Praying for a great week!

We had a blast at our serve & sleep over! We started the afternoon making water filters for 3rd world countries, went to Craig’s Cruisers, had a midnight snack challenge, stayed up way to late & ended our time this morning worshiping in church! Thank you to everyone who came out for our contest! The winner of the appetizer was Clayton & Levi with Vension wrapped in bacon, 2nd place was Micah with strawberry fluff. The winner of the dessert was Curt & Wyatt with their milkshakes & 2nd place was Marissa with chocolate covered strawberries!

We had a TON of fun last night at our Youth Group Christmas Party! We started the night out with a mall masquerade at Grandville Mall, dinner at Culver’s (where we crashed the system with our large order!😳) & shopped for our Adopt a Families through Love Inc! We raised over $2,200 for our families! Thank you to all who dressed up for us & for Oaklands continued support for our youth!!

We had a great few days on our mission trip! We did a lot of work & had a lot of fun! Thankful for a great group of kids that wanted to be the hands and feet of Jesus! We repaired and painted a ramp, built a ramp & put a roof on a house!! For fun we went to a pond with a zip line, rope swing & boats, went bowling and of course had ice cream a couple times. Grateful for the support of Oakland church & for the parents that allowed the kids to come to Lake City!

What an amazing way to wrap up the year! The carwash was a huge success! Thank you to all who came! After that, the boys served at Love INC in Hamilton and the girls served at The Family Life Center. We wrapped up the day with a trip to Craig's Cruisers for food, go karts, mini golf, and lots of games. It was a special year with these kids and we want to thank you for all your support!

We had a great time at our Christmas Party! We shopped for our adopt a families through Love Inc, had On The Border for dinner, and finished the night with games!

We had an awesome few days on our mission trip to Lake City being the hands and feet of Jesus. We accomplished lots of work & had a lot of fun! We have a great group of kids who have lots of energy and like to work hard. The leaders are proud of the kids on how they interacted with people in the community. Keep shining your lights for Jesus!!

Wrapped up a phenomenal youth group year by serving at Love INC in Hamilton and and the Family Life Center in Allendale. Hard work was rewarded with pizza and Ice cream of course!
