Olan Fray Sanderson, 67, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, 1:00 until service time beginning at 2:00 at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery near Detroit.
Survivors include, Father: Alvin Sanderson, Brother: John Sanderson (Kim), Nieces and Nephews: Deven Sanderson (Ashley), Bryant Byrd, Christy Pavlovec (Josh), Great Nieces and Nephews: John Luke Sanderson, Kyler James Sanderson, Ella Grace , Jackson Pavlovec, and Kylie Pavlovec.
He was preceded in death by, Mother: Emma Kate Sanderson, and Sister: Donna Sanderson

Connie Ann Carter Overton, 55, of Detroit passed away February 1, 2026 at the North Ms. Medical Center in Hamilton.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, 1:00 until service time beginning at 2:00 at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery near Detroit.
Survivors include, Sisters: Barbara (Ray) Harper of Amory, Ms. and Rhonda (Frankie) Kizzire of Amory, Ms. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
She was preceded in death by, Parents: Melton and Annie Marie Hawkins Carter, Brothers: Billy, Joe and Norman Carter, Sister: Robbie Carter Upton, Fur Babies: Jingles, Snuggles and Cuddles.

Christine Dupree, 91, of Hamilton passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at her residence. Christine was born on February 19, 1934 to the late Lawrence Stanford and the late Madaline Webb Stanford in Detroit, AL. She was strong in her faith and she loved the Lord with all her heart.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 1:00 until service time beginning at 2:00 at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery.
Survivors include, Sons: Wendell (Shonnie) Dupree of Hamilton, AL., Wade (Pam) Dupree of Detroit, AL and Timmy Dupree of Hamilton, AL. Grandchildren: Kelly (Shawn) Robertson of Hamilton, Kerri (Jarrod) Wadsworth of Sulligent, Kayla (Alex) Green of Tuscaloosa, Kaci (Jason) Hall of Hamilton and Taylor Dupree of Hamilton. Great Grandchildren: Kailyn (Aaron) Ables, Makenzie (Grantley) Steele, Eli Wadsworth, Bentley Brown, and Zander Green, Great Grandchildren: Presleigh, Kyrie, Tatum, Jaxon, Jadalyn and Ryder , Special Caregiver: Brandi Hollis and Sipsey.
She was preceded in death by, Husband: Edsel Dupree, Parents: Lawrence and Madaline Stanford, Brothers: Beldon Stanford, Arbie Lee Stanford, and Arnold Stanford, Sisters: Bentrice Robinson, Dixie Lucas and Louise Knight.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Enhabit Hospice and to all the caregivers over the years.

Martha Sue Sanderson , 76, passed away peacefully December 23, 2025 at her residence in Hamilton. She was born in Marion County Alabama on November 6, 1949 to the late Hobert and Elouise Cochran. She was a light in the world who will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2025 at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 until service time beginning at 3:00 with burial following at Cooper Cemetery in Marion Co (Detroit Route) AL.
Survivors include, Sons: Timmy Sanderson and Joey Sanderson, Grandsons: Timmy (Savannah) Sanderson, Joseph Sanderson, and Justin (Resa) Sanderson , Granddaughters: Brittney Sanderson, Alyssa Sanderson, Kayla (Britton) Zellars, Great Grandson: Kayson Sanchez and Carter Finch, Great Granddaughter: Wrenlee Sanderson, Sisters: Annette Cochran, Reba Taylor, Jenny Palmer, Judy (Jack) Reynolds, and Donna Purser along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends.
In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by: Husband: E.P Sanderson, Sisters: Louise (Raymond) Edwards, Janice (Orbie) Sullins, and Linda Cochran, Brothers: Steve, Randy, James and Donahue Cochran.

Donald Ray Edwards, age 76, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with private family graveside services and burial to follow in Cooper Cemetery.

Six of our nine cemetery Board members had a workday at Cooper Cemeteries this AM. We put sand on top of several low lying areas at the old & new cemetery. We also pruned tree limbs, picked up stray flowers, and had old grave dirt pushed back into the woods between the two cemeteries. Now we pray it rains tonight & tomorrow to settle it all in. We appreciate all the volunteers helping this morning.
