2 Cor 5:16-17 (NKJV) says:

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Caterpillars transform into butterflies through a process called metamorphosis. Their old nature passes away, and they turn into a completely new creature. Just as caterpillars are changed into butterflies, Christians are changed into a new creation through faith in Christ. Their nature is transformed from the ugliness of sin, to the beauty of saints.
